Perks has been one of Overwatch 2’s best additions since its launch, breathing new life into this seasoned game. These helpful bonuses unlock as you level up during gameplay to give you access to some wonderful benefits and buffs.

However, these effects aren’t always just for you, as many of them can also help you support your team with things that any role other than Support normally struggles with. We all want to help our team in any way we can, and these Perks will do wonders to help DPS and Tanks save the day and secure a victory together.

Echo – Friendly Imaging
But What If Your Team Had Two Anas?
This Minor Perk for Echo may not seem like much at first glance, but it can be super helpful for anyone in a grouped-up team. The Friendly Imaging Perk allows you to become your teammate’s Heroes when activating Echo’s Duplication Ultimate. If your team composition is entirely unique from your opponents, this gives you up to 11 Heroes to choose from when using Duplication.
This, on its own, can create so many new possibilities for strategies involving team synergy. The best part of this Perk is that you can now duplicate your Healers to get double the trouble and coordinate ridiculous plays with them. Creating things such as two Nano Boosts at once or using a Tree of Life right after one has just ended.

Torbjorn – Craftsman
On Battlefield Armor Repairs
With this Minor Perk on Torbjorn, now not just your turret is your mechanical baby; your entire team is. The Craftsman Perk allows you to hit allies with your Forge Hammer to restore armor, with each swing healing up to 50 armor.
This sounds good on paper, but in practice, it is really dependent on your team composition. It requires you to hit allies that have armor, and since you have to hit them with the Hammer, it can be awkward for any fast Heroes. If you have a slow Tank like Reinhardt, though, this Perk is more than worth it, as you can sit right behind their meaty hitbox and act as a mini Healer!

Hanzo – Sonic Disruption
Where’s The Honor In Playing Fair?
Whoever at Blizzard decided to turn Hanzo into Sombra Jr. with this Perk is one of the most creative developers on the team. The Sonic Disruption Perk does something quite surprising: it will hack any health packs that the Sonic Arrow ability senses for 12 seconds.

Pick the right perks, or get out-dueled by a Mercy with a pistol.
This works identically to Sombra’s Hack on health packs in that it stops opponents from using them and speeds up their respawn time to be much faster. Not only is this a great ability to help the line at your local health pack move along quicker, but it also allows you to stop any potential fleeing enemies from stealing your healing.

Soldier: 76 – Field Emergency
Fresher Refreshments
Biotic Field is one of the greatest supportive abilities that any DPS has access to and this Minor Perk boosts it to be even better. Heroes are already tough to kill while in the Biotic Field’s healing, and this Perk makes it near impossible by increasing the healing by 100 percent when anyone is in critical health within the field.
Soldier: 76 can save teammates from death’s door using this Perk, as when doing the math, it increases the healing from 40 per second to a massive 80 per second. For context, within two seconds, this can almost fully heal Tracer! The Perk makes the Field very effective at keeping your team alive from any high damage Ultimate too, especially Zarya’s Graviton Surge.

Sombra – White Hat
Friendly Malware
This Major Perk allows Sombra to learn more about her allies’ search histories by hacking them instead of enemies. White Hat puts Sombra directly into the Support role and allows her to provide 100 healing over time to any ally she hacks. This has niche uses in team fights but clashes with Sombra herself.
With Sombra being a heavy flanker and one of the best counters for any enemy Hero, this Perk might seem bad. It does not fit her playstyle whatsoever, but it does make her more versatile. Before throwing your Translocator, try to find a nearby ally and hack them, even if they have full health, as the Perk will heal them for up to two seconds afterward.

Winston – Revitalizing Barrier
A Healthy Barrier
Being a genius, it surprises us that it took Winston this long to make his Barrier Projector more useful. This Major Perk gives the deployed Barrier the bonus of healing any allies within it for 30 health per second, turning it into the perfect healer form. Why bother picking a boring Support character when you could have a giant healing bubble instead?

Tanks are built to last, and these perks make sure of that.
This Perk is excellent for almost every mode and even better with a static or moving objective. Winston can place the Barrier on things like the Payload to give their team the ultimate healing device, as not only will the Barrier heal them, but so will the Payload (If you are on the attacking side).

Wrecking Ball – Transfer Efficiency
Need More Health?
One of the most fun Tanks has to be Wrecking Ball. Unfortunately, though, it can be quite hard to fit him into a team composition, and that is where this Perk can help. When granting the Adaptive Shield to nearby allies, this Major Perk boosts the health gained by 33 percent, which means you can grant a maximum of 100 extra health to your entire team.
This Perk can get quite absurd if used when your entire team is nearby, as it also reduces the cooldown of the ability by a whopping six seconds. If you are able to gather your team consistently, you can spam this to give tons of temporary health almost as instantly as the previous round expires.
4
Orisa – Protective Barrier
Your Healers Will Be Safe Behind The Barrier
This Major Perk for Orisa brings back a wave of nostalgia that reminds us of those ol’ days of the Goats Meta of Overwatch 1. The Protective Barrier replaces Orisa’s Javelin Spin ability with her old shield Barrier, which can be deployed on the ground to protect allies and defend objectives.
When you only have a single Tank Hero on your team, choosing one of the Tanks without a shield or barrier can sometimes win or lose team fights. This ability was so good on Orisa back in Overwatch 1, and it is even better now with all the offensive options Orisa has to go along with it.
3
Zarya – Spotter
The Bubble That Can Do It All
Zarya is known to be a defensive and strong powerhouse who can be impossible to counter, and this Major Perk will make her even more helpful to her allies. The Spotter Perk grants Zarya’s Projected Barriers to instantly activate the shielded ally’s regeneration, allowing her to not only save them from all damage but give them recovery as well.

Pick the right Perks, and you’ll go from ‘healer’ to ‘hero’.
That clearly wasn’t enough to make Zarya’s bubbles even stronger, as they also increase the target ally’s movement speed by 15 percent. Zarya’s Barriers were already some of the best supportive tools in the game, and now, with this Perk, they can reach even higher heights of strength that cannot be beaten.
2
Roadhog – Hogdrogen Exposure
There’s A Gas Leak!
Roadhog is a very greedy Tank who never shares his healing gas with his teammates and hogs it all to himself, but with this Perk that changes. The Hogdrogen Exposure Perk gives a bonus effect for nearby allies to gain 50 percent of the healing Roadhog takes in from his Take A Breather ability.
If this was the old Roadhog we were talking about, this Perk would not be that great due to the long cooldown. However, the changes Roadhog received in his Rework to the Take A Breather ability make this Perk a must-have. You no longer have to use all the gas in the flask at once, meaning you can time your heals for both yourself and your allies accordingly and not waste any healing.
1
Junker Queen – Battle Shout
Shout It Out, Queen!
Currently, this simple Minor Perk is one of the best Perks in the game for helping your team. Junker Queen’s Commanding Shout ability is usually just used to give your team a speed boost back into the action quicker upon respawn, but now, with the Minor Perk Battle Shout, you will want to make sure you have it ready for every fight.
This Perk makes the shout now cause you and nearby allies to also reload 50 percent faster, which is amazingly good for damage output. Characters who usually have to worry about their ammo usage, like Cassidy, can now Fan the Hammer as much as they want, as your reload time will be practically instant. This easily allows all of your team to overwhelm your opponents with damage before they even finish their own reloads.
