Originally unveiled in beta phase in 2009, Minecraft is one of the most successful games ever made, selling over 300 million copies since then. Now, a skilled Minecraft player called afroforge has built an incredible recreation of Game of Thrones’ Winterfell, sharing the results with the community. The fan shared five pictures in which it’s possible to see the huge stone buildings from different angles. This project is complete with the castle that belongs to House Stark, multiple small wooden houses, and the Godswood sanctuary. According to the creator, they were able to get such an incredible result by using the Winterfell from the books as a base and then adding some features that were seen in the TV show, which seemed ideal, as some fans believe that the show’s castle is too small.

Minecraft Player’s Incredible Take on Game of Thrones’ Winterfell

This well-made recreation of Winterfell is far from the only iconic location recreated in Minecraft by its talented fanbase. Back in 2022, for example, one fan rebuilt several iconic movie locations and scenes in Minecraft. The list included several famous movies such as Jaws, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, and others.

Apart from these iconic places, fans often build incredible new locations in Minecraft. One example shared recently was a bamboo beach bungalow made in Minecraft. This creation looked incredible, and it was set in one of the game’s coastal areas, near a jungle.

Another Minecraft player created a highly detailed oil rig a few days ago. Despite its blocky aspect, the oil rig was so complex and filled with realistic details that it could easily be mistaken for a real-world photo if someone did not pay enough attention when looking at the images. Hopefully, other creative Minecraft players will keep making unique constructions and sharing them with fellow fans, showcasing their abilities.
