Metal Gear fans looking for a way to pass time while waiting for the Snake Eater remake may want to check out the new tabletop adaptation of the first Metal Gear Solid game. Released in January and available at Amazon for $110, Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game is inspired by the original PlayStation game and VR Missions. It’s a hybrid stealth-strategy game for one to four players–yes, it’s fully playable solo–but it also comes with 24 miniatures and other components that could make for cool display pieces, too.

If you want to play the video game it’s based on, Best Buy is offering a 50% discount on Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, which includes the first three Metal Gear Solid games and two classic Metal Gear side-scrollers.

Ahead of its August 28 release, you can save big on the PC version of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Fanatical is offering up to $20 off on Steam keys, and if you opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition, you’ll get to play it 48 hours early. Preorders will also get you a white tuxedo uniform, a snazzy white ensemble that trades tactical camouflage for crisp style.

Disclosure: GameSpot and Fanatical are both owned by Fandom.

The Snake Eater remake will also be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in multiple versions, including a special day-one launch version, digital editions, and a massive physical collector’s edition that comes with some cool gear.

Metal Gear fans should also check out the newly reprinted Snake Amiibo figure before it sells out. Based off of his appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Snake figure is available for $16 at Best Buy. And if you have ever thought Solid Snake would look better as a duck, check out Amazon’s deal on the Solid Snake rubber duck by Tubbz.
