A Marvel Rivals fan has shared their gameplay concept with the hero shooter’s community, giving players a glimpse at how Ant-Man would operate if Scott Lang was ever added to the roster. The current Marvel Rivals character line-up is packed with popular characters, including Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Loki, Black Widow, and Jeff the Land Shark. The latest addition was the Fantastic Four, adding Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing, proving to be popular additions after the first family’s January 2025 debut.
Marvel Rivals was first released back in December 2024 as a free-to-play 6v6 PvP hero shooter. Players can tap into the game’s Dynamic Hero Synergy to enhance combat within the game’s destructible environments, including the Empire of Eternal Night, Hydra Charteris Base, and Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda maps. NetEase Games recently revealed the new Punk Rage Hulk skin coming to Marvel Rivals on February 27, 2025, offering Bruce Banner a makeover with green hair and goggles, while his Hulk form receives tattoos.

Posted on Reddit by LOOWEEpsd, a concept submission was shared on the Ant-Man subreddit, showing the size-altering superhero navigating one of the maps in theory, as the character is yet to be added to Marvel Rivals. The gameplay concept showed Ant-Man using Pym Technology to shrink down on the battlefield, wearing the character’s signature red suit and helmet, as well as an image of him towering over the battle as a giant. The latest Marvel Rivals leak hints that Thor’s sister Angela may be arriving soon, but there’s still no word on when or if Ant-Man will eventually make the line-up.
Marvel Rivals Fan Designs Concept Ant-Man Gameplay
A few fans noted Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie would be a good fit in the game as well, possibly serving as a tank, and it was also requested that the fan create a gameplay concept for the Wasp next. While Redditors were receptive to Ant-Man’s gameplay and curious about the Wasp, some Marvel Rivals players want Human Torch’s abilities altered, which has made some waves within the community recently.
Thanks to the hero shooter’s popularity, DC Studios’ James Gunn recently commented on a Marvel Rivals-styled game with DC characters, saying he was open to the possibility. The Marvel and DC rivalry has somewhat settled down currently with most comic-book fans happy to dive into both fandoms, but considering the overwhelming success of Marvel Rivals, it makes sense for DC to consider something similar, and hopefully extinguish the flames left behind by Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
