Terrible news, Helldivers 2 players. You’ve got a big Major Order choice to make, and if you’re planning to stick to the form established the most well-known time a call like this had to be made last year, you’ll have to do some good for the universe.

Yep, very fittingly since Arrowhead’s mysterious game master J.O.E.L recently revealed that folks opting to save some kids rather than getting some mines is his favourite moment of the Galactic War so far, this latest order is running that one back with some minor differences.

This time, it’s some gas mines vs an unfortunate gang of “moderately feeble young adults” in need of a Bonnie Tyler song, and if you’re getting deju vu to June 2024, I don’t blame you.

Outlining that the last MO – which forced folks to head into the Gloom and battle new bugs ended successufully, this one brings back another familiar foe, in the form of the bots. “The Automatons have launched a brazen attack, underhandedly capitalizing on the ongoing Terminid and Illuminate offensives to further their despotic schemes,” Arrowhead wrote, adding that the baddies have two targets.

“Whether the Helldivers will choose to expand their arsenal with Gas Mines from the factories on Duma Tyr, or whether they will save the moderately feeble young adults trapped on Julheim – only the Helldivers themselves can know,” it outlined.

As with the last order, the divers have been given a “buffer planet” in the form of Bekvam III to battle for before they’ve got to choose between Duma Tyr and Julheim – but they already seem to be leaning towards the latter, because of course they do. “FOR THE CHILDREN” reads one of a number of meme-centric posts on the game’s subreddit from would-be young adult savers, some of which feature Willem Dafoe.

“Moderately feeble young adults can still become SEAF personnel, let’s save them,” wrote one, while others have tapped into their inner Sun Tzu and begun trying to devise strategies that’ll somehow allow both the young adults and mines to be grabbed, therefore giving us the best of both worlds.

Will you be fighting to save the young adults and possibly entice Arrowhead to make another donation to a children’s charity, as it did at the conclusion of that original kids vs mines order? Let us know below!
