Even though Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii is on the shorter side, especially when compared to the last couple of mainline Like A Dragon games, there’s still plenty you can do to have a pretty long adventure.

What trouble can Majima get up to in Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii?
One of the best ways to make Majima’s solo story even longer is to achievement hunt to ensure you’ve seen everything. This is no easy feat, with some of the achievements requiring hours of dedication, but which are the hardest?

Super Bounty Hunter
Pirate Hunter Goro
One thing which is guaranteed in Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii is that just about everything needs money. Want to play a minigame, buy an upgrade, or change Majima’s outfit? You’d better pony up.
If you’re looking for quick money, Majima can take up bounty hunting as one of the more efficient methods of getting paid. Some of these bounties are a tough challenge, but if you manage to clean the streets of 50 of these wanted criminals, you’ll be rewarded with the Super Bounty Hunter achievement.

Goro Pirates, Go Go Go!
Build Up The Fleet
During the main story of Pirate Yakuza, you’ll only need to get a minimum of 15 crew members to complete the story, but it’s recommended to get as many as possible so you have the choice of the best people for the job available.
However, some of these recruits don’t come easily, and require their own mini-quests or high pre-requisites to join your crew. However, it’s worth it, since if you manage to convince a staggering 80 people to join your crew, you’ll get the Goro Pirates, Go Go Go! achievement.

Legendary Mad Dog
Everything At Your Disposal
The action/beat ’em up gameplay of Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza is relatively simple to get to grips with, but one aspect that adds depth and makes progression more rewarding is the ability system. By spending reputation points and in-game currency, Majima can unlock buffs and new skills that make him more powerful.

At the start of the game, these are relatively affordable, but the later you get, the more resources they require. That’s why earning Legendary Mad Dog by unlocking 60 abilities is such a tough challenge. You’ll need to grind and farm to be able to afford to unlock this many abilities in a normal playthrough.

Bonds Between Men
Social Links?
Whether you’re exploring the sea on the Goromaru, or walking around Honolulu, at certain spots Majima will be able to enter conversations with his crewmates (usually Noah) and work towards unlocking a drink link conversation with them.
Finding all of these requires a hefty amount of exploration, and even though they are marked on the map, getting to them (especially when sailing) can be quite time-consuming. It’s worth it though, since after you’ve unlocked all the drink link conversations, you’ll get the Bonds Between Men achievement.

Master Of The Coliseum
King Of The Ring
While Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza borrows different gameplay and structural choices from the rest of the Like A Dragon series, one element that is brand new to this entry is the ship combat. While you’ll participate in plenty of these encounters while sailing around the open seas, you’ll encounter the hardest challenges at the Madlantis Coliseum.
The earlier challenges shouldn’t be too hard if you’ve got the Goromaru properly kitted out, but by the time you get to the later levels it’ll be a tough challenge to take on. If you manage to beat 30 challengers in the Madlantis Coliseum, alongside the rewards you get for each, you’ll also get the Master Of The Coliseum achievement.
3
Crazy Captain
The Fastest Food
Just like most other Like A Dragon games, Pirate Yakuza features a wide variety of different minigames that Majima can take part in, and while some are relatively simple, others can get quite challenging.

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza’s voice cast includes actors both familiar and new.
One of the best examples of this is the Crazy Delivery minigame where Majima is tasked with delivering food orders to impatient customers while also trying to land tricks on his bike without crashing. The earlier difficulty levels are easy enough, but the harder difficulties are tricky to beat, making the Crazy Captain achievement pretty hard to get.
2
Legends Of The Sea
A Name To Be Feared
As soon as Majima and the Goro Pirates are set loose on the Hawaiian seas, they’ll immediately start accumulating reputation points that can be spent on new abilities, as well as raising the overall reputation rank of Majima’s crew.
The first couple of rank-ups are pretty quick, but by the time you’re trying to get to the final five-star rank, you’ll realize just how many points you need to get. It’s worth it in the end, since you’ll be able to recruit some of the best crew members in the game, as well as get the Legends Of The Sea achievement.

The Man Who Summoned Gods
Time For A Breakdown
Pirate Yakuza’s second chapter serves as an extended tutorial, gradually teaching you more about the game’s wider world and more complex mechanics. One of the last features to be introduced is the Devil Pirates and the Dark Instruments that they’re hoarding.
It takes plenty of dedication to beating these villainous pirates to get all four of these instruments, since you’ll need to raise your reputation and collect 100s of their flags. But if you manage to find all of their instruments, you’ll be rewarded with The Man Who Summoned Gods achievement.
