RUMOR: Avengers: Doomsday Filming Delayed For What May Be A Troubling Reason
Avengers: Doomsday filming is set to be delayed, due to a troubling situation.
During an interview with Deadline, the Russo Brothers confirmed that both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will be filmed in London, England. They said, “It’s all in London, we’re shooting them fairly back-to-back. It’s a lot of work again; we may or may not survive; we’ll see.”
It’s evident that the Russo Brothers are gearing up for a significant shooting period, given that they will be working on two massive blockbuster movies in quick succession. It’s going to be a huge task for them and the cast to pull off, but considering the small time frame between when the movies are getting released, it makes sense to get them filmed around the same time period. Of course, that will put a strain on everyone involved, but considering the importance of the films to the MCU, they will no doubt be filled with passion.
It has already been reported that many of Tom Holland’s scenes in Avengers: Domsday may be filmed with a stunt double due to his busy schedule, highlighting how tough it is to get everyone together for these projects. Of course, that’s easier to achieve for Holland, given that Spider-Man is under a mask most of the time. However, the Russo Brothers’ current scheduling plans should allow them to work hands-on with as many actors as possible. There are expected to be a lot of massive stars involved in this one, with the likes of Wolverine, Gambit, and Deadpool all having been rumored to be involved in some capacity. There has even been talk of Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom killing a version of Thanos, which would see the iconic MCU villain return.
Avengers: Doomsday is expected to lean heavily into the multiverse, which should open the door for a lot of surprise elements. Meanwhile, it is expected that the X-Men will be getting ushered into the MCU off the back of Avengers: Secret Wars, leading to questions about whether any mutants might end up appearing in that movie. There are a lot of plates to spin at the same time with films this big, but the Russo Brothers have proven their ability to do it in the past, and audiences expect the same again with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars.
