Dead by Daylight’s most exciting new collab is still “a few months away”

I don’t watch a lot of reality TV. While I’m happily wiling away the hours with Taika Waititi’s What We Do in the Shadows and Marvel’s Agatha All Along, game shows and television drama just don’t do it for me. The Boulet Brothers Dragula is the one exception, however. Drag, filth, horror, and glamor collide in a competition that wears its heart on its sleeve, and while I’ve dropped off since it was locked behind a Shudder subscription, it’s easily one of my favorite TV shows. That’s why I was so excited when Behaviour Interactive revealed its DBD Boulet Brothers collab, but sadly it appears to have fallen into obscurity since Season 6 concluded. Well, until now.

First aired on Tuesday November 26, 2024, the Boulets challenged their merry band of Uglies to create a look inspired by, you guessed it, Dead by Daylight. The winner not only dodged the ever-brutal extermination challenge, but also received an in-game skin inspired by their Floorshow look.

Eventual victor Asia Consent transformed herself into an eerie goat shaman, sporting an exposed beating heart, huge spiralling horns, and a magical staff made entirely of bone (presumably not the ones of her fallen competitors). The primal, animalistic aesthetic aligns perfectly with the horror game‘s Huntress, and perhaps even new Killer The Houndmaster.

Unfortunately we haven’t heard much about the collab in the wake of the season’s conclusion – we know it’s coming, but there’s been no word of when. That’s just changed, though. In a Tuesday, February 25 post on X (formerly Twitter), the Boulets have confirmed that the cosmetics are still “a few months away,” with “summer” being the proposed target.

“For people asking about the Boulet Brothers @DeadbyDaylight release, it’s a few months away still but trust us, it will be well worth the wait! We can’t wait for you to get our claws around some survivors’ throats!” they write. When pressed for a general launch window, they simply reply with “Summer!”

Given that the collab was announced back in August of last year, this may come as a bit of a disappointment to some players. It’s likely a result of Behaviour’s ongoing focus on quality of life improvements, though, which has resulted in several Chapters being delayed while the team polishes the game. At least we have a vague launch window, however – Summer 2025 already looks pretty good, but now it’s even better (and bloodier).
