Champion Cards in Clash Royale, since their debut, added a whole new dimension to how you design your decks. Initially, you only had the option to choose between the Archer Queen, Golden Knight, and Skeleton King if you had them unlocked. Fast forward to today, and the game has 7 unique Champions, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Mighty Miner is one of the coolest Champion cards in the game, and it has the ability to switch to a different lane with the tap of a button. This makes the card viable for a wide variety of decks in Clash Royale. In this guide, we’ll discuss all there’s to know about the Mighty Miner, showcase some of its best decks, and also talk about its biggest counters in the game.

Clash Royale: Best Wizard Decks (& How To Counter It)
The Wizard is a rare troop in Clash that hurls fireballs at the enemy dealing AOE damage. Here’s how to counter it along with some of its best decks.
Mighty Miner Card Overview in Clash Royale
Mighty Miner is a champion card that costs 4 elixirs to deploy. His activated ability, Explosive Escape, lets him burrow underground and come out the opposite lane, leaving behind a bomb that explodes, dealing area damage. The ability has a 13-second cooldown and costs only 1-elixir to use.
Mighty Miner also has a unique attack type similar to that of an Inferno Dragon or Inferno Tower. When Mighty Miner starts attacking, he starts off with very low damage. However, as his drill heats up, he starts dealing massive damage, allowing him to melt tanks or buildings in the blink of an eye.
Let’s not forget the fact that it’s a Champion card, which means it gives you the three-card cycle. So, with the Mighty Miner on the field, you’ll be able to move through your deck faster, making it a great choice for cycle decks.
Mighty Miner can’t target air troops, but his ability can still damage air cards.
How to Counter Mighty Miner in Clash Royale
Mighty Miner, without the right counters, can be a tough Champion to deal with. His attacks heat up pretty fast and can melt tanky troops such as Mega Knight within seconds. This makes it one of the best counters to beatdown decks in Clash Royale.
However, countering the card is also quite easy. A simple, well-timed Zap can reset his damage, allowing your support troops to take him out before he charges up his attack again. Swarm troops like Skeletons, Goblins, or Spear Goblins are also great since the Mighty Miner doesn’t do a lot of damage right away.
Ranged units such as Musketeer, Cannon Cart, or Witch are also good at dealing with the Mighty Miner. As for the lane-switching ability, the best way to counter it is to place your troops in the middle of the arena. That way, the Mighty Miner has to walk to the middle and can’t walk off to a different lane even if he pops the ability.
Mighty Miner can take out a Giant Skeleton and pop the ability to avoid the death bomb damage.
