Sworn has you defeat the evil King Arthur and his corrupted knights. The co-op roguelike has four characters and allows you to play with three other friends who can join you on your quests. Each character has different weapons and abilities that you can use to defeat enemies and progress further into the game.
That’s not all, as you also get blessings that provide unique abilities that can help you even further. From making enemies blow up to stunning them with some well-timed attacks, the type of ability you get depends on the Fae you’re lucky enough to encounter. Of course, Hades fans will know the duo blessings two Faes gave. While there are many different blessings in Sworn, some are significantly better than others.

Freezing Chill
Beira, The Freezing Witch
- Prerequisites: Chill blessing
Beira is Sworn’s resident Ice Queen, so it makes sense her blessings primarily revolve around frost. Most of her starting blessings grant your attacks the Chill effect, which slows down the movement and attack speed of enemies struck with it. This effect can also be stacked, reducing their speed even more.
The Freezing Chill blessing can be acquired after encountering Beira while having an ability that inflicts Chill already. With this, your attacks that inflict Chill also build up Frost Bite. An enemy with max Frost Bite gets frozen and is unable to attack or move temporarily, similar to the Stun effect.

Critical Opening
Gogmagog, The Last Giant + Lugh, The Hand Of Fate
- Prerequisites: Crit + Stagger blessings
The Critical Opening blessing increases the chances of landing a critical hit against stunned enemies. Understandably, you can only get this blessing if you already have the ability to land critical hits through Lugh’s blessings and stagger enemies through one of Gogmagog’s blessings.
Critical hits already take out a good chunk of damage from any enemy’s health, though that isn’t the only reason this blessing is so useful. If you’ve tried Stagger builds, then you’ll know that you can stun bosses too. Successfully stunning a boss and landing powerful critical hits can make quick work of even the toughest bosses, especially if you’re using a powerhouse character like Rook with his trusty hammer.
8
Deep Chill
Beira, The Frozen Witch
- Prerequisites: Chill blessing
Beira’s Chill effect may be useful for slowing enemies, but it doesn’t help with taking enemies down. That is unless you have the Deep Chill blessing. With this blessing in your possession, just ensure an enemy has more than five stacks of Chil to damage them over time.

The higher the rarity and level of this blessing, the more damage enemies will receive. The Deep Chill blessing can be used when an enemy has more than five stacks of Chill. This blessing may be a good choice for use with ranged attacks, letting you take down enemies from a safe distance.
7
Feast
Mab, Queen Of Spiders
Health in Sworn is limited, and going after some Fae Hearts to increase your maximum health instead of getting an upgrade can sting. Fortunately, the Feast blessing is excellent for those who want to get rewarded for taking down enemies. With it, you increase your maximum health every time you kill an enemy. Of course, there’s a cap for how much health you can increase.
This blessing is excellent when paired with Vigilante because he’s fairly easy to take down with his low defensive capabilities. Though, who would say no to some extra health? This blessing is usually worth two Fae Hearts, making it an excellent substitute.
6
Hot Streak
Lugh, The Hand Of Fate + Titania, Queen Of The Fae Duo
- Prerequisites: Ignite + Crit blessings
Titania gives many blessings that let you deal Ignite attacks, which deal significant additional damage. However, there’s a limit to how many of these attacks you can use at a time since there’s a charge that gets consumed when you use an Ignite attack. That’s where the Hot Streak duo blessing comes in.
Hot Streak is a luck-based blessing that gives your Ignited attacks a chance to not use an Ignite charge. If you use plenty of ignited attacks, then this blessing can prove to be a game-changer for you, letting you whip out one more powerful attack. There’s no con in having the blessing in your back pocket for its clutch potential. Just don’t depend on it.
5
Fan Of Knives
Babd, The Dark Omen + Beira The Frozen Witch Duo
- Prerequisites: Shades + Chill + Sling Blades blessings
Babd is one of the weirdest Faes, giving you blessings that let you backstab enemies or even temporarily go invisible. However, arguably the best blessing is the one that lets you construct shades. While these shades usually swing their blade in front of them, the Sling Blades blessing makes things better by having them throw knives at the closest enemy.

This isn’t the extent of this ability, though, as the Fan of Knives duo blessing takes things a step further. Paired with a Chill ability granted by Beira, this blessing makes it so your shades throw daggers at every enemy with at least one Chill stack at them, letting you unleash even more chaos.
4
Lucky Mark
Lugh, The Hand Of Fate
- Prerequisites: Crit blessing
Lugh’s blessings are primarily luck-based, and the Lucky Mark blessing is no different. This blessing lets you mark a nearby enemy whenever you land a critical hit on anyone. You have a 25 percent increased chance of landing a critical hit on a marked enemy, and that percentage stacks with your existing crit chance.
This blessing can be a game-changer when used against multiple enemies with high health. Pair it with a character who already deals a lot of damage and you’ll see those Crit numbers stack up.
3
Opportunistic
Gogmagog, The Last Giant
- Prerequisites: Stagger blessing
The Opportunistic blessing is one of the best blessings in Sworn, even though it doesn’t deal direct damage to enemies. The blessing increases the duration of the stun effect, which lets you use other attacks on enemies to decrease their health without them being able to retaliate.
Alternatively, you could get far from an enemy and attack from a range using abilities and weapons like the Vigilante’s Chakrams. Whether it’s to deal some nice damage or escape from a sticky situation, you’ll get the opportunity to do it with the Opportunistic blessing.
2
Spell Thief
Beira, The Frozen Witch
The Spell Thief blessing is another strong blessing that doesn’t deal direct damage. Instead, the blessing can restore your mana if you hit an enemy with either a light or heavy attack. You can then use your spells to make quick work of enemies.
Spells in Sworn have very high potential, whether it’s the starting spell that has your character charge forward while being invisible or one of the latter spells. Running out of mana can make you get overwhelmed by enemies, but knowing you can quickly recover it by just attacking enemies is an unmatched feeling.
1
Fate Breaker
Cliona, Mother Of Banshees
If you’ve played roguelikes, then you’ve probably wished you had one more chance at least once. Whether it’s because one of your strong abilities was just about to charge or you were about to take an enemy down, there’s nothing worse than seeing victory barely slip from your grasp. That’s where the Fate Breaker blessing comes in.
This blessing allows you to survive with one health when hit by an attack that would otherwise be lethal. The blessing does come with strings, as it can only be used once per chamber. This blessing can be used with any of the four characters in the game as it can help each cheat death. However, the blessing should be considered a last resort, and you shouldn’t build a strategy around it.
