Apex Legends has received yet another update in February, which fixes certain connection-related issues across the game’s online matches. The latest patch adds to the list of bug fixes that Apex Legends developer Respawn has shipped since February 10, the start of Season 24.

For all live-service titles, including Apex Legends, the virtually endless cascade of fresh content comes paired with its own bugs and other technical issues. The nature of software updates is such that this coupling of new features and new bugs is almost unavoidable. Post the rollout of a brand-new Apex Legends season, titled Takeover, a number of issues have popped up in the game as well. In the past few weeks, Respawn devs have addressed this by delivering a mix of major and minor patches, the latest of which takes care of some annoying issues that players may have faced in online matches.

Apex Legends Should Pull the Trigger on One Collab Fortnite Has Yet To

Apex Legends would be smart to swoop into an iconic JRPG crossover that Fortnite was rumored to have, but hasn’t officially acted upon yet.

On February 25, Respawn announced that a new Apex Legends update, which resolves a few different matchmaking issues, had been pushed onto the server for players. The patch fixes a key issue that prevented the player from joining or leaving a match. It also brings relief to those users who have been encountering the “Unable to find party server” error message lately. Another important area addressed by the newly shipped update is the accumulation of Ranked Points, for which the devs have fixed a bug that stopped players from earning RP from the ranked matches in the new Apex Legends season.

Apex Legends Devs Add to the String of Patches Released in February

It’s worth noting that the latest update is the second one in as many days from Respawn. While the previous one revolved around gameplay bugs and stability issues, such as unexpected crashes on Xbox and Switch, the new one is purely focused on matchmaking, an aspect of the game that the Season 24 update focuses heavily on. Earlier in February, the Apex Legends devs mentioned the anti-cheat measures and matchmaking improvements in the new season, aimed at ensuring “fair matches.”

Meanwhile, Apex Legends publisher EA is actively planning the next iteration of the online multiplayer game. Andrew Wilson, the CEO of the American gaming giant, talked about refreshing the game with an Apex Legends 2.0 update in the future, something that the devs are still in the process of figuring out. As the year progresses, this development may take further shape, allowing fans to get a glimpse at the popular battle royale title’s next chapter.
