Apart from some new glimpses of the gameplay, the Metal Gear Solid Delta presentation at Sony’s digital event revealed the return of the Ape Escape-themed game mode from the original. While this particular offering is exclusive to the game’s PS5 and Steam versions, the Xbox Series X/S counterpart is confirmed to get its own exclusive mode, which looks set to feature Bomberman in it.
After a prolonged period of absence, Metal Gear is back on Konami’s agenda at last, to the delight of longtime fans. The forthcoming remake is slated to be the company’s second release under the Hideo Kojima-created IP in two years, post the roll-out of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 in 2023. If the feedback-oriented updates shipped to the compilation game so far are anything to go by, fans may expect Konami to work as diligently for the Snake Eater remake’s launch as well.
