Pokemon Fan Redesigns All Eeveelutions as Adorable Bears

Summary

  • A Pokemon fan created adorable teddy bear-inspired versions of Eevee and its evolutions.
  • Eevee gained popularity with new evolutions over time, but no official ones have been added recently.
  • Fans are creating unique Eeveelution designs, such as a Ghost-type Halluceon and a Bug/Ground-type Squirmeon.

A Pokemon fan has recently devised new teddy bear-inspired versions for each of the eight official Eeveelutions and Eevee itself, and the collection of new designs looks adorable. The Pokemon community has many talented people who can create amazing unofficial designs, and Eevee and its evolutions are among the most popular picks for fan art.

Eevee is one of the most well-known Pokemon ever created, rivaling creatures such as Pikachu with its popularity. Originally introduced in the first generation of Pokemon games, Eevee had only three evolutions at first: Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon. Over time, the popular critter gained new evolutions, including Umbreon and Espeon in Gen 2, Leafeon and Glaceon in Gen 4, and more recently, Sylveon in Gen 6. Since then, however, no new official Eeveelutions have been added to games.

A talented Pokemon fan creates incredible artwork that reimagines the evolutionary line of Bellsprout, a Gen 1 Grass/Poison-type monster.

Recently, a talented Pokemon fan called MunchyKu decided to try a new take on the popular Eevee and its eight official evolutions. In these nine designs, the Pokemon are depicted as cute teddy bears with round ears, small feet, and adorable noses. Each of these designs still clearly resembles the original ones, using the same colors as the base critters and having some similarities, such as the red jewel on top of Espeon’s head, or the leaf over Leafeon’s. Apart from sharing one image with all nine redesigned Eeveelutions, the fan also posted individual pictures of each creation, showcasing each design in more detail.

Pokemon Fan’s Adorable Bear-Inspired Eeveelutions

Many fans have unique take on new Eeveelutions, and some of them devise them as critters with alternative types. For example, one fan created a Ghost-type Eeveelution last year. Called Halluceon, this creature looked like a skinny, spectral Eevee with very long ears and a skull over its face.

Another interesting design that was revealed recently was a gorgeous Normal-Type Eeveelution. In this creative artwork, the fan redesigned Eevee to look more like a real-world fox, keeping the same colors as the base creature but greatly changing its shape and face. The new design also came with a shiny form, which had gray skin.

A fourth fan shared a Bug/Ground-type Eeveelution with the community earlier this year. This new take on Eevee was called Squirmeon, and it greatly resembled a worm stained with earth. While the creature was very different from most official Eeveelutions, it still looked like an Eevee due to its face. Hopefully, other fans will keep coming up with amazing new Eeveelutions, sharing their talent and creativity with the community.
