Summary

  • A Pokemon fan’s Poison-type Eeveelution design impresses with its creative Nickelodeon theme and high quality art.
  • Despite there being no official Poison-type evolution for Eevee, fans have created unique takes on the concept.
  • Eevee fans continue to reimagine the popular Pokemon, like one fan artist who turned them into adorable teddy bears.

A Pokemon fan has recently designed an unofficial Poison-type Eeveelution inspired by a popular Nickelodeon toy. While eight different official Eeveelutions have been revealed over the years, the Pokemon community is always eager to reimagine Eevee in different ways, and this latest work stands out due to its high quality and creativity.

Originally introduced in Generation 1, Eevee is one of the most popular Pokemon ever created. Not only does the Normal-type critter look adorable, it also has quite a few evolutions, including the Fire-type Flareon, the Electric-type Jolteon, the Water-type Vaporeon, the Dark-type Umbreon, the Psychic-type Espeon, the Grass-type Leafeon, the Ice-type Glaceon, and the Fairy-type Sylveon. However, Eevee never received an official evolution with the Poison type, disappointing fans who love creatures like Arbok, Muk, and Zubat.

A Pokemon fan shares their concept fan art designs for a water/dark-type Mudkip evolution line, and the sinister vibes have been captured.

Now, a Pokemon fan called Omega_Maru has created a new Eeveelution called Nickelodeon. This Poison-type take on Eevee still looks a lot like the base creature, but it has orange and green colors and its skin looks a bit like goo. The Pokemon also has a shiny version, which uses more traditional Poison-type colors such as purple and green. According to Omega_Maru, the idea for this design started with a joke, as they realized that the word Nickelodeon ends with “eon” like other Eeveelutions. So, they decided to create a design inspired by the iconic Gak toy manufactured by Nickelodeon, a popular molding compound originally released in 1992. The artwork was very popular with the community, and it obtained over 1,100 upvotes.

Pokemon Fan’s Amazing Nickelodeon-Inspired Eeveelution

Over the years, other fans have also designed creative Poison-type Eeveelutions. For instance, one fan created Myceleon some time ago, reimagining Eevee as a fox-like creature with a mushroom on top of its head.

Another noteworthy Poison-type Eeveelution designed by a Pokemon fan was shared with the community last year. Called Serpeon, this design likely took some inspiration from Ninetales and reimagined Eevee with both hair and a multi-tail that looked like snakes.

While some fans are more interested in coming up with new Eeveelutions, others just redesign the existing ones with alternative ideas. Earlier this week, for example, one fan recreated all Eeveelutions as adorable teddy bears. The collection created by the artist was incredibly cute, with Eevee and its official evolutions depicted as teddy bears with round ears, small feet, and adorable noses. Hopefully, fans will continue to come up with even more creative Eeveelutions, as these designs tend to be very popular with the community.
