Pokemon Fan Designs Life-Sized Sprigatito Sculpture

A talented Pokemon player is paying homage to Sprigatito with a life-sized sculpture of the cute feline Grass starter. Like all mainline Pokemon entries, 2022’s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gave players a choice between three starter creatures at the start of their journey through the Paldea region, with the catlike Sprigatito serving as the traditional Grass-type option. As per the norm with Pokemon starters, Sprigatito can grow stronger over time, evolving into Floragato at level 16 and becoming Meowscarada at level 32.

It didn’t take long for Sprigatito and its two evolutionary stages to become popular among Pokemon fans, to the point where the Grass Cat Pokemon now has a starring role as Liko’s first partner in the Pokemon Horizons anime. As is the case with many popular Pokemon, particularly skilled fans have created inspired artwork themed after Sprigatito, from custom sneakers and rice portraits to realistic Sprigatito designs and alternate variants that imagine the kitty with a different elemental type.

One talented Pokemon enthusiast crafts a wooden replica of the raccoon-like creature known as Zigzagoon, wowing fans of the franchise.

A Reddit user named Icy-Royal-9304 recently shared their almost-finished Sprigatito sculpture on r/pokemon, much to the amazement of their fellow Pokemon fans. This life-size rendition of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Grass-type starter already features an impressive amount of detail and was 3D-printed, according to previous Reddit posts from before it was painted. IcyRoyal said that they printed the sculpture with Polylactic Acid and sanded it down to match Sprigatito’s features.

In another past Reddit post, Icy-Royal-9304 said that they plan on selling their Sprigatito sculpture when it’s finished, just like they did with a similar sculpture of Pokemon’s muti-evolution mascot Eevee. Other Reddit users who have followed along with the process of making this life-size Sprigatito have complimented the artist for the level of detail shown in the work, which captures the design that made Sprigatito an overnight favorite among Pokemon fans.

These Pokemon fans have much to look forward to in 2025, as there will be a special Pokemon Presents livestream in honor of Pokemon Day on February 27. New announcements will likely be made during this event, including news about the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A, a rumored multiplayer Pokemon game, and maybe even a look at Generation 10. There will also be a special Pokemon animated short debuting during Pokemon Day 2025, one that may or may not be the start of a new series set around a girl named Hana and a Dragonite postal carrier.
