Monopoly GO Share The Love Event Rewards Delayed

Monopoly GO developer Scopely has delayed the release of the community’s rewards from the recent Share The Love event. Originally, Monopoly GO players were supposed to receive their rewards on February 21, a few days after the Valentine’s Day-themed Sweet Partners event ended.

The Monopoly GO Artful Tales album is drawing to a close on March 6, and one of the season’s final events was the Sweet Partners event, which lasted from February 12 and 17. Coinciding with the Sweet Partners event, Monopoly GO players could contribute to the Share The Love community event by trading stickers with in-game friends and filling out a two-question form on Monopoly GO’s official website. Three milestones were set for the Share The Love event: 800K trades for 70 Rolls, one million trades for 90 Rolls, and 1.3 million trades for a Blue Sticker Pack. The community exceeded well over 1.5 million trades before the event ended, and rewards were set to be distributed to all Monopoly GO players on February 21. However, players began to report that rewards were not being sent to them in the days that followed, and Scopely shared an update on the situation.

As spotted by user PictureSubject5010 from the Monopoly GO Reddit community, Scopely confirmed that the developers encountered an issue while attempting to deliver rewards for the Share The Love event, and its distribution has been delayed to a later date. The team is currently working on fixing the issue as soon as possible in order to properly distribute the rewards to all players. It’s unclear what prevented the rewards from rolling out on February 21, and as of February 24, players have yet to receive their free Rolls and Blue Sticker Packs in Monopoly GO.

Scopely Confirms Monopoly GO Share the Love Event Rewards Were Delayed

The Monopoly GO community wasn’t happy about the situation and the lack of communication from Scopely in the days leading up to the delay’s announcement. Some players, including Susiewaterski on Reddit, believe that Scopely goes on “vacation” whenever rewards from community events and surveys are supposed to be distributed. Other players expressed their patience and acceptance of the situation, believing that Scopely should wait until the launch of the Monopoly GO Movie Night album to distribute the rewards.

Following the delay of the Share The Love rewards, some players in the Reddit thread are pondering over a potential date for the next Golden Blitz event for Monopoly GO. When PictureSubject5010 asked Monopoly GO’s support team about the next Golden Blitz event, an automated response stated that the “surprises” Scopely had planned are still in the works, and more details will come at a later date via the game’s official social media channels.
