Mecha Break features a number of unique Mechs (also known as Break Strikers) that offer unique ways to play. Instead of having a full mech customization, players here must instead learn how to use their Strikers, much like how one would master a character in a hero shooter.
Almost every Striker in Mecha Break needs to be unlocked before they can be used in combat. Like in other character-based F2P games, players will need to earn in-game currency in order to buy the Strikers they want. Thankfully, this process is relatively straightforward, though it’s going to take a long while before you can unlock every mech in the game.
How to Get New Strikers in Mecha Break
You can buy new mechs from the Switch Break Striker button from the Hangar menu. Here, you’ll see all the available Strikers in the game, including the ones you haven’t unlocked yet. You can also try each of them out for a spin in the training simulator to see if a mech’s playstyle suits you.
To get a new Striker, you need one of two currencies: Matrix Credits or Corite. Prices also differ based on the relative complexity of each Striker; the beginner-friendly ones are cheaper, while mechs that are harder to use effectively are more expensive. As of the Mecha Break Open Beta, the Striker price list is as follows:

How to Get Matrix Credits
Matrix Credits are earned by completing challenges and opening Supply Crates. Before you dive into a game, make sure to select Missions from the Tactical Station menu, and try to complete those as you play. You can get up to 600 Matrix Credits per mission plus a Supply Crate.
How to Get Corite
As of writing, Corite is cannot be earned via regular means, though if you hover your cursor over your Corite counter in the upper-right corner of the main menu, a feature that allows players to exchange currency for Corite will be implemented in the future.
How to Get Merit Points
You can get Merit Points by running missions in Mashmak, Mecha Break’s equivalent of an extraction game mode. As you play in Mashmak, you earn Mission Points that are automatically converted into Merit Points at the end of a successful run. Mission Points are converted into Merit Points at a 10:1 ratio, and you can only earn 6,000 Merit Points per week.
