Where to Get Mods in Mecha Break
You can get mods for your mech by opening Supply Crates. Each crate gives you one random mod for any of your Striker’s systems along with some Matrix Credits. Supply Crates are earned by increasing your Achievement Level and completing missions, so make sure to try and meet the requirements for those during every match.
Supply Crates come in blue and purple rarities, and the quality of the mods you get depends on what type of crate you open. Naturally, you’ll want to get as many purple crates as possible, but don’t ignore the blue ones. You can use multiple mods on one mech slot, and having two or more blue-quality mods with the same stat can easily outshine a purple mod in terms of performance.
There are four different mod rarities: Green, Blue, Purple, and Gold.
Best Place to Get Mods
Playing normal PvP matches normally rewards players with one loot crate, but that’s only if they end up completing a mission or increasing their Achievement Level. If you really want to get as many mods as possible in one sitting, do a few missions in Mashmak.
Mashmak is an extraction-type game mode that truly highlights Mecha Break’s combat. The goal is simple: destroy as many enemy strongholds and complete as many objectives as possible, then leave once you’ve had your fill of destruction. You can pick up mods as loot from destroyed enemies. However, you’ll need to make it out of the match alive if you want to make use of them.
Mod Recycling
You can convert 10 unwanted mods of the same quality into a random mod of the next rarity level by using the Mod Assembly feature in the Hangar’s Mods screen. Once you end up with too many mods in your inventory, this is a great way to get some new and potentially more useful ones.
