In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you initially encounter only a handful of characters—most are the same adorable passengers from the game’s opening scene. They end up scattered across Friendship Island, and reaching some takes time. Characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Tuxedosam reside in Seaside Resort, so you’ll meet them first.

However, some remain shrouded in mystery, and befriending them becomes possible later. For example, TOPHAT occasionally appears but isn’t interactable until much later. Among these figures is Kiki, Lala’s charming brother, known as the Twin Stars. To befriend Kiki, check out this guide!
Where To Find Kiki
Kiki and her sister Lala are characters you’ll occasionally encounter in the game. They especially appear to congratulate you after completing power crystal quests before disappearing again. You can find Kiki and Lala on Cloud Island and interact with them once you arrive. However, reaching Cloud Island requires completing a long series of quests, which may take some time.
Many of these quests involve traveling across different biomes, solving puzzles, and helping other characters along the way. Be prepared for various challenges before finally unlocking access to Cloud Island! The table below lists the quests you need to complete in order before reaching Cloud Island:
You can only complete the Stargazing quest at night. If it’s not nighttime in your game, you can sleep in one of the visitor cabins with a bed until night falls. Then, head to Moon Island to meet Hello Kitty. After talking to her, Sky Fragments will start falling in various locations across Friendship Island.
You need to collect them. Collecting them is easy since they are all marked on your map:
- The first Sky Fragment will fall right next to you, making it impossible to miss.
- Another Sky Fragment is in Spooky Swamp, near Kuromi and My Melody. Talk to them to obtain it.
- One is at Rainbow Reef, inside the comedy club where Hangyodon is. Enter the club, complete the dialogue with him and Retsuko, and you’ll receive it.
- Another Sky Fragment can be found in Gemstone Mountain. Speak with Chococat and Badtz-Maru to get it.
- The final one is located at Mount Hothead. Talk to Keroppi to collect it.
Once you have all five fragments, return to Moon Island and talk to Hello Kitty again. Then, a mysterious portal will spawn in the center of the island. This portal serves as a gateway to Cloud Island, an important location filled with new characters, quests, and rewards. Entering it will transport you to Cloud Island Plaza, where you’ll find Kiki and Lala waiting for you.
After speaking with them, the Stargazing quest will be complete, and you’ll unlock new interactions. You’ll now be able to talk to Kiki and Lala, give them gifts, and build a friendship with them over time.

Kiki will accept gifts from the Stars, Dreamy, and Frozen categories. When you give Kiki a gift, he will give you Stardust in return, which can be useful for crafting special items. The easiest gift to give him is Starfruit, which grows on trees in Cloud Island.
Once your friendship with Kiki reaches level two, you’ll receive the Star Crafting Plans. With three Stars, you can craft a Dreamy Star, a more valuable gift for Kiki. The crafting plan for the Dreamy Star is unlocked when your friendship with Lala reaches level seven.
At that point, you can give Kiki the two-heart gift, Dreamy Star, which increases friendship more effectively than one-heart gifts.
As a one-star gift, the critter Woolox from Icy Peak is a simple yet effective choice. Additionally, for a two-star gift, Art Supplies is not too expensive; however, its crafting plan unlocks only after reaching friendship level seven with Kiki.
For the three-heart gift, you’ll need to give him a Starry Skies Shake, which is made using the Dessert Machine. This requires one Starfruit, one Cactus Cream, and one Snowcicle. You can find Cactus Cream in Gemstone Mountain and Snowcicle in Icy Peak.
Friendship Rewards
Kiki’s friendship rewards are mostly crafting plans for better gifts for him or her sister, along with star-themed decoration items. He will only give you a story quest if your friendship with him reaches level ten.
Quests From Kiki
Kiki’s only solo quest is ‘Cloud Cabins’, which involves taking photos for Tuxedosam and unlocks the Cloud Ride. However, Kiki and Lala also give you the ‘Catching A Cloudragon’ quest together—completing it unlocks the Cloud Island Critter Corral. Another quest they offer is ‘Call to Adventure’, which is part of a longer questline.
Additionally, if your friendship with both Kiki and Lala reaches level 20, you’ll unlock them as companions. Unlike other characters, this duo will accompany you everywhere together.
