Goku & Luffy are two of Shonen’s most iconic protagonists. But who would win in a one-on-one fight?

Goku VsNaruto, Who Will Win?

The Ultimate Showdown

First, let’s break down both of these characters before deciding who will win in a brawl. Dragon Ball’s main character, Son Goku, originally came from another planet and was adopted by Grandpa Gohan. While he was already gifted with immense power since his childhood, he still devoted a lot of time to training and becoming more and more powerful.

Goku has always been extremely kind and always cared for others around him. Despite the immense amount of power he had, he is always shown to be extremely down-to-earth and has a pure personality which makes him a beloved character in the anime community.

On the other hand, we have Naruto, who belongs to the Konoha village. Ever since his childhood, he has always wanted to be the village Hokage. He also had the nine-tailed beast sealed within him who was responsible for causing major devastation in the village. This is why he was often a subject of hatred by the villagers. But despite all that, he chose to remain kind and help everyone, making him an inspiration for many.

Son Goku’s Abilities

Goku has a lot of overpowered abilities under his belt. He possesses an immense amount of strength and is even capable of destroying planets. Furthermore, he can move at superhuman speed and even fly far distances. His most powerful form, however, is his ultra-instinct form in which he can protect himself and deal some devastating blows to his enemies subconsciously.

There is no doubt that in the Dragon Ball universe, Goku stands as the most powerful one of them all, and he has proved that on multiple occasions. Perhaps the most iconic attack of Goku is when he uses a Kamehameha. This technique was actually used by Master Roshi, and Goku was able to grasp it just by seeing it getting used once. He can also use his powers to seal demons away using the Evil Containment Wave, which was also used by Master Roshi.

I am the hope of the universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace – Goku

Other than that, one of his most loved techniques from King Kai, known as the Spirit Bomb, is surely a favorite for the fans. This allows Goku to channel energy from all the living beings in the environment to deal a powerful blow.

Another powerful ability of his is that he can use Instant Transmission to teleport to any location where he senses someone’s energy, a technique he learned when he was on the Planet Yardrat.

Naruto vs. Luffy: Who Would Win?

Between Naruto and Luffy from One Piece, which of the two would reign supreme in a battle of wits and strength?

Naruto’s Abilities

Naruto is also able to go through various transformations in order to become more powerful. Naruto can control his inner chakra or energy and deal with attacks known as Jutsu. He is also able to create clones of himself. His skill set is extremely vast as he can use various abilities like Rasengan, Senjutsu, and sage mode. He’s also shown to be very strategic during his battles, making him one of the best characters in the Naruto verse.

In Boruto, you see Naruto getting more powerful, especially now that he can use Baryon Mode, which makes him much stronger and faster with his attacks. Naruto is also able to heal himself in minutes, making him more durable during major fights. His Sage Mode is yet another powerful form that greatly amplifies his physical powers. Thanks to the sage mode, he was able to defeat Pain, one of the deadliest villains in Naruto.

I’m not going to run away, I never go back on my word! That’s my nindo! My ninja way! – Naruto Uzumaki

Another extremely powerful attack of his is the Six Paths: Ultra Big Ball Rasenshuriken, which allowed him to defeat the strongest of opponents. This complex attack transforms Naruto into Kurama when he is in his Six Paths Sage Mode and is using Six Paths Senjutsu.

After that, he can summon shadow clones that fuse together with the original. This powerful form basically allows Naruto to create the Six Paths Big Ball Rasenshuriken in his right arm while the Tailed Beast Ball Rasenshuriken in his left arm making his attacks extremely hard to counter.

The Winner

Goku mostly relies on his raw strength and skills, while Naruto uses tactical strategy in his fights to gain the upper hand. If we do a side-to-side comparison, Goku is not only superior in terms of raw power but also in experience. His ability to adapt and learn mid-fight makes him a terrifying opponent.

Naruto can definitely work his way around a fight using his strategies and skills, but against Goku is extremely difficult. The Saiyan, even in his normal state, is capable of destroying planets and Naruto is far from displaying such immense power. Goku can easily counter the majority of Naruto’s attacks without much effort, making him the ultimate victor in this battle.
