Despite Battle Royale being the main focus of Fortnite, Save the World was the original groundwork for the game. While Save the World falls into the tower defense genre with zombies constantly attacking your bases, it can provide a neat getaway from the hecticness of Battle Royale.

There are plenty of items in Save The World that haven’t been seen in eons, as well as traps that can spike, electrocute, or freeze the storm zombies to death. Of course, you’ll also need to save survivors along the way, but at least you can earn a few free V-bucks by playing the mode.

Fortnite Ballistics attempts to capture the magic that made competitive games such as Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant popular. Does it actually work? Well, it certainly is Fortnite and shows off what first person modes are capable of, it still lacks that unique identity that every other mode has.

Gameplay is standard for the genre, with two teams working towards planting or defusing bombs. Once eliminated, you need to wait on the sidelines till the next round, but you can purchase weapons and gadgets to make your loadout stronger.

A Portal To The Past

There’s nothing like going back in time and revisiting one of the older eras of Fortnite. Fortnite OG is a smaller-scale battle royale mode that takes players back to the very first incarnation of the Fortnite island.

This includes iconic locations and weapons that haven’t been seen in the current game and a smaller player count to get things going. The mode even allows skins from the very first battle pass to make a comeback. Fortnite OG is not as competitive as the default battle royale, but it is perfect for nostalgic players.
