WWE 2K25 Updates Jey Uso's Entrance To Be More Accurate

Summary

  • WWE 2K25 has begun its rollout of new wrestlers, features and modes. However, some of those are reused assets.
  • Noticeably, Jey Uso did not have his crowd entrance until fan backlash led to a new updated entrance.
  • Elsewhere, Tiffany Stratton is reusing outdated animations, while American Made is reusing animations that were used for The Hurt Business.

When WWE 2K25 was announced in late January and subsequently began its rollout of roster reveals, game modes and new features, there was one thing that stuck out, like a sore thumb. The entrance for Jey Uso, the winner of the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, was reusing a year-plus-old animation.

The real-life entrance for Uso, which the game is supposed to be off of, involves him entering through the crowd, dapping up young children and doing his signature “Yeet” arm motion.

It’s an entrance he’s been doing for just about an entire year, but it wasn’t set to be part of the flagship WWE game. That is, until fan backlash came around. Now, via IGN, 2K has unveiled an updated and more accurate Jey Uso entrance.

It’s unclear why exactly Uso’s entrance wasn’t that in the first place, but at least it’s been updated. Unfortunately, it looks like the crowd hasn’t received that same love, as it appears they’re bowing and not waving their arms. Even more unfortunate is the fact that Uso isn’t the only one stuck with an outdated or inaccurate entrance.

WWE 2K25 Is Already Feeling Old

Beyond Jey Uso, American Made’s entrance in 2K25 is reusing the animation that was used for The Hurt Business. You can compare the two below, but it is largely the same four-man entrance, just with different wrestlers and entrance music.

Elsewhere, Tiffany Stratton, who is the reigning WWE Women’s Champion and is set to have a marquee match at this year’s WrestleMania, is using the entrance animation from when she still hadn’t been called up to the main roster just with updated music.

This is what her current entrance looks like, which is noticeably devoid of any camera clicks or the like.

In other words, it’s a rather poor look for a game that is set to release soon (March 7) and is being priced at $69.99 for its most basic version. Only time will tell if these entrances get updates like Jey Uso, but fan backlash shouldn’t be the impetus for change.
