In Scopely’s mobile app version of the fan-favorite board game Monopoly, players can collect lots of fun Stickers. These digital collectibles are found throughout Monopoly GO and add an extra layer of excitement to the game. Players can earn Stickers by completing different challenges and participating in tournaments and events.
Over time, people end up gathering plenty of Stickers of the same type. An interesting feature of Monopoly GO is that it allows players to repurpose their duplicate stickers and turn them into Stars to use in the Sticker For Rewards menu. The current sticker season in Monopoly GO, called Artful Tales, will be ending soon, on March 06, 2025. One thing is for sure, the stars won’t be carrying over to the new season. We’ve updated this guide to provide information on what might happen to your accumulated stars and to help you decide if opening vaults in the Stickers for Rewards section is worth it or not.
What Happens to Stars After an Album Season is Over?
A new Sticker season in Monopoly GO means a fresh start for everyone. At the start of a new season, all sticker sets and unused Stars in the “Stickers for Rewards” section will be reset. This means that your unused Stars won’t be carrying over to the new album in Monopoly GO.
At the end of the season, any Stars remaining in the Stickers for Reward section that haven’t been used to open a vault will be automatically converted into valuable dice rolls in Monopoly GO. As such, even if you don’t manage to open every vault, your hard-earned Stars won’t go to waste. The conversion rate offers a decent return, with a maximum conversion of around 700+ Stars granting you 750 dice rolls. If you have more than 700 stars, the extra stars are lost.
While opening vaults is generally the most efficient use of Stars, this automatic conversion provides a helpful consolation prize, giving you extra rolls to continue your Monopoly GO journey in the new season.
To maximize your dice roll bonus at the beginning of the next sticker album, try to save at least 700 Stars. Doing so, you’ll receive the 750 dice roll conversion bonus. While saving for this target is recommended, feel free to spend any Stars beyond 700 on the cheaper vaults to get even more dice rolls and rewards before the season ends.
