What treasures await after the credits roll?
From your first few minutes in the game meeting Noah and Goro to the last few moments before you finish the main story, there are several story beats and small details that just don’t add up. While most of these examples should be taken with a grain of salt as Ryu Ga Gotoku having some fun with their audience, other bits take some creative liberties with the story details.

Noah’s Lightning-Fast Pendant Skills
One of the biggest logistical issues comes near the end of the story when Noah and Majima are talking after their epic battle against the Giant Squid boss. Despite their conversation happening presumably only moments after the battle itself, Noah gives Majima a pendant that he crafted from the remains of the squid.
Unless there’s a longer time jump from the outside scene to the moments in the cave, it seems unlikely that Noah had the time to formulate an idea, let alone put together a wonderfully constructed pendant that mirrors the necklace he wears. While this issue is a matter of timeline clarification, there’s plenty more to scrutinize still to come.

Why Does Tucker Help Jason And The Crew?
In the aforementioned cave toward the end of the game, there’s a split between the pirate crew about how the treasure is being split up. Unsurprisingly, Majima, who sides with Jason, wins the battle of might and convinces the other pirates, who were protecting Tucker’s share, to join him.

You’re going to want to bring the shooters out.
However, after this fight, there’s no more debate or discussion from Tucker about why he’s continuing to help Jason and his crew, who just technically claimed his share. It could be a matter of Tucker viewing this as a live-or-die decision with only one option, but there’s no moment of clarification to explain things for certain.

That Dance Number
The biggest spoiler on this list is the endgame dance routine that plays after the completion of the main story and features several prominent characters, including Majima, Jason, Raymond Law, and more. While every major character dancing together already poses some issues considering their complex relationships or untimely deaths, there’s even more that makes no sense here.
Pirate Yakuza doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it felt somewhat jarring to see characters like Queen Michelle included in the post-game festivities. While Majima’s tale might never have fully convinced you of its legitimacy, it’s hard to ever imagine some of these folks dancing in a choreographed routine, making this section particularly mind-blowing.

You Don’t Know The Dark God’s Instruments?
Speaking of mind-blowing inclusions, one huge combat aspect that made no sense in PYIH was the Dark Instrument attacks, which offered extremely powerful summons that would fight on your behalf. While summoning a demon animal to do your bidding is already a bit farfetched, it seems strange that these tools aren’t integral to the storyline you get them from.

Considering that the Devil Flags seemed to be the protectors of the Dark God’s Instruments, they showed no acknowledgment of losing them nor of understanding their powers in the first place. While it’s believable that four incompetent pirates can be oblivious to the powers of special weapons, it’s hard to believe that they never mention losing them to the Goro Pirates.

Noah’s View Of Goro
While there are plenty of exotic animals to find and add to your zoo called the Goro Kingdom, one mislabeled creature sticks out: Goro. From the first moment you meet Noah, he insists on calling his pet tiger, Goro, a cat. Despite his obvious amnesia and stupefied state, even Majima recognizes the species of animal standing in front of him.
While Noah’s active imagination is one possible explanation, it seems bizarre that a child who can see his father’s overprotective actions so clearly would struggle to identify the differences between a common house cat and a tiger. In reality, it’s probably a small gag that the developers threw in for a laugh, but does nobody else think having a baby pet tiger is unbelievable?

How Did The Amon Clan Become Pirates Too?
Once you clear the Pirates’ Coliseum, you’ll unlock the Ultimate Pirate Crew Showdown, allowing you to face off against the Amon Clan, this time in Pirate form.
While we have no complaints about getting our usual dosage of challenging battles against the Amon Clan, it seems strange that this group of expert assassins just happened to become pirates at the same time as Majima. What made Taiyo Amon pursue this path? Was Majima their target? The Amon Clan moves in mysterious ways beyond any of our comprehension.
