Summary

  • A Minecraft player encountered a skilled Witch who landed a 360 trickshot using poison.
  • The Witch’s poison gradually reduces health to one heart, making it a formidable foe.
  • As Minecraft updates, more deadly enemies may emerge, adding to the game’s challenges.

A Minecraft player has shared a clip highlighting a Witch’s impressive 360 trickshot with a splash poison. Witches are a dangerous foe in Minecraft given how much damage their poison effect can do, but this player may have run into the most skilled one in the game.

When Minecraft was released, it had many hostile enemies like Skeletons, Spiders, and Zombies, and passive mobs like Cows, Pigs, and Sheep. Since then, new enemies have been added through multiple content updates, including the Warden, Phantoms, Ravagers, and most recently, the Creaking of Minecraft‘s Pale Garden. Witches were introduced in version 1.4.2 in 2012, which also introduced Bats, the Wither boss, Zombie Villagers, and Command Blocks. While they don’t deal massive damage, the Witch’s poison regularly defeats players as it slowly dwindles their health down to one heart. A gamer just shared a video spotlighting a Witch that hit them with poison after doing a 360-spin in water.

When it comes to crafting, Minecraft is pretty simple, except when it comes to redstone. Lucky for players, we share helpful designs for the game.

Reddit user Elena-Starlit55 recently shared a clip that showcases a Witch that hits them with a poison 360 trickshot while bobbing up and down in the water. The clip begins with the player running near some Minecraft Bamboo along a small body of water, which they jump across to hit a swimming Witch with their Iron Sword. After the Witch is knocked away, the player maintains some distance before hitting it again. Undefeated, the Witch rises in the water and quickly spins in a circle, shooting its projectile poison at the player in the process. Although the player watches the poison bottle hurtle through the air and seems to move out of the way, they’re hit by the bottle, which causes poison damage. The video concludes with slow-motion footage of the incident, highlighting the skill of the otherwise unsuspecting Witch.

This Minecraft Witch Has Talent

As a Spider approaches the player toward the conclusion of this video, it’s unclear if it was able to defeat the player or not. Given that the poison reduces health until the victim only has one heart, the Spider may have only needed to hit them once to finish them off. Unlike Zombies who burn to death in the sun, Witches and Spiders can wander around until they despawn, or they’re defeated by a player. Witches are relatively uncommon in the Overworld where this player encounters them, as they’re typically found in cave networks and Minecraft Swamp huts. Milk is a quick cure to the Witch’s poison, and it can be acquired from a Cow when a player uses a Bucket on one. Although this player didn’t have Milk in their hotbar, they may have had some in their inventory.

Though this gamer didn’t die in their clip, it highlights just how dangerous Witches can be. As Mojang continues to update Minecraft, even more deadly enemies could populate the Overworld in the future.
