During the fifth chapter of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Swann finally arrives at Movie Palace to return her tape, but decides to stroll around instead of heading directly home as she was asked to. This seemingly innocent decision ends up changing her whole summer (and, as a consequence, her whole life too).

What a wonderful Meowmoir.

In this free-roam section, she finally meets Autumn, Nora, and Kat for the first time after being dragged into a huge misunderstanding. This marks the start of their lifelong friendship, and, just as you would expect, plenty of choices will affect both your relationship with the girls and the game as a whole.

Keeping In Touch With Mom

Swann in front of a phone booth in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

The Movie Palace story Memoir must be completed to proceed. You can record various items, such as the Movie Palace logos, the movie posters, the Yooper Scooper’s logo, the car’s antenna, or the terror movie clown life-size cardboard. Capturing five of them completes the Memoir.

You can also capture some parts for optional Memoirs around here, such as:

  • Water Tower: In the Movie Palace’s rightmost alley, in front of the clown cardboard.
  • Graffiti: Multiple instances in the alley’s walls. You can also find one in the van, and more are available later in the chapter.
  • Scenic Views: Directly behind Swann, above the road.
  • Birds: Various Ring-Billed Gulls are around this chapter. The easiest to spot is directly behind the car, right below the Movie Palace spinning logo.
  • Moving In Place: The shoes above the van and the Movie Palace flag, next to the alley.

Before heading to the Yooper Scooper, approach the phone booth and call Swann’s mom, and she’ll ask you to come home, to which you can answer:

Choice

Outcome

I’m returning my rental.

Neutral.

I don’t want to help…

Neutral.

I’m in outer space…

Neutral.

No matter what you choose, your mom still wants you to help, and asks you to bring a friend. You initially only get a sad answer, but waiting a few seconds unlocks two more options:

Choice

Outcome

My cat’s my date!

Neutral. The cat’s name changes depending on which one you chose earlier.

I don’t have any friends…

Neutral.

That’s a dumb question.

Neutral.

After some small talk, it’s time to say bye to Mom. You have two regular answers, but staying silent is also an option.

Choice

Outcome

Love you, Mom.

Neutral

Bye, Mom.

Neutral

Saying nothing won’t affect your relationship either. Once you’re done here, it’s time for some ice scream.

The Mom call is fully optional. Since it has no branchings whatsoever, you can fully skip it if you don’t want to see those extra scenes between Swann and her mother.

Out For Ice Cream

Swann heading to buy an ice cream in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

The options you’ll get here change according to how quickly you get to the Yooper Scooper. If you take too long, you’ll hear the girls speaking about closing the shop, and you won’t be able to get your slushy. It takes about five minutes for Autumn to close, and she’ll announce when she starts packing up.

Once you approach the shop, Nora asks you if you’re naturally red-headed. Answering her can get you some extra approval:

Choice

Outcome

My hair really is red…

Nora approves.

If you stay put for a while, she says you’re the quiet type, to which you can also answer:

Choice

Outcome

Sorry, I’m just filming…

Neutral.

If you come around while the girls are chatting, you’ll miss both of these interactions.

The tables around Nora are filled with Graffiti you can film for the Memoir, so take this chance. Once you’re ready, speak with Autumn:

Choice

Outcome

Meowdy!

Neutral.

Excuse me, are you still open?

Neutral.

If you took too long to order, you’ll get the following answers:

Choice

Outcome

I’m such a space cadet!

Neutral.

What’s the hurry?

Autumn disapproves.

But if you get here on time, the dialogue is quite different:

Choice

Outcome

I’ll order something.

Neutral, leads to another choice.

I’ll come by another time.

Neutral, ends the section immediately.

The slushy menu in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

If you choose to order something, you get to pick your flavor. Touching each of the symbols in the menu unlocks their respective option. They are in the left, the middle, and to the right of the screen, and are, respectively:

Choice

Outcome

Beyond.

Neutral

Rainbow Snow.

Autumn approves.

Cute & Grumpy.

Nora approves.

Regardless of what happens, you’ll be sent back to 2022 once you either decide to come back another day or get your favorite flavor.

Meeting Autumn, Again

Adult Autumn in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Back to the present, you find out that Autumn was actually using the restroom. You can react in the following ways:

Choice

Outcome

(Shake her hand) Hello!

Autumn disapproves.

(Hug her) It’s been ages!

Autumn approves.

Not picking anything won’t affect your relationship. But if you choose anything here, you get a follow-up:

Choice

Outcome

Mind if I scoot by?

Neutral.

I’m still the same Swann!

Autumn approves.

Once again, not choosing anything won’t have any effect. Swann enters the bathroom, and you’re back to 1995 as soon as you open the door.

The Wrong Way Back

Swann going through a fence in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Swann is killing some time with or without her slushy. If you had one, you can approach Nora and Autumn for extra interactions. Autumn asks you if it was good, to which you can answer:

Choice

Outcome

The slushy is great! Thank you.

Autumn approves.

Approaching the backside of the shop will let you listen to the girls bickering about popcorn prices. You can say:

Choice

Outcome

I usually sneak candy in my bag…

Neutral.

But if you try to walk behind the shop, Autumn asks you to leave.

Choice

Outcome

Oops!

Neutral.

You can do it again, though.

Choice

Outcome

Cripes! I’ll leave.

Neutral.

Staying quiet in both situations has no consequences. Walking around a third time triggers some funny dialogue, but no options pop up.

After a while, Swann notices she’s late, and decides to take the fence (to the left of Movie Palace) shortcut back home. A balloon appears on her way, and you must film it to proceed. It also counts toward the Moving In Place Memoir.

However, Dylan thinks you were recording her and goes off on you, but you can try to defend yourself:

Choice

Outcome

What? Sorry!

Neutral.

I wasn’t filming you…

Neutral.

Dylan screaming at Swann in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

No matter what you choose (even if you stay quiet), she tries to grab your camera. You can try, once again, to clarify things:

Choice

Outcome

No! I am so sorry!

Neutral

I was filming a balloon…

Neutral.

Your answer only changes how she insults you next. If you apologized once, your choice is slightly different, but with the same results:

Choice

Outcome

(Film her) Screw you!

This choice will be remembered. You’ll start to film Dylan.

(Leave) I’ll leave…

This choice will be remembered.

Choosing to film Dylan unlocks the Bullies Memoir. This is optional, so make sure to grab her on camera if you’re going for it. Regardless of what you choose, Corey comes in his motorcycle. If you filmed Dylan, she says you’re harassing her.

Choice

Outcome

You started it!

Neutral.

If you didn’t, you get a slightly different option once he asks her who you are:

Choice

Outcome

I’m not a peeping Tom!

Neutral. Appears after a few seconds.

Leave me alone!

Neutral.

After a few more insults, you can try to defend yourself once again:

Choice

Outcome

Just stop it…

Neutral.

But of course, it won’t work at all. But you can actually do something in the next choice:

Choice

Outcome

(Film them) And…rolling!

Neutral. You start filming them.

I was filming something else.

Neutral.

Filming them gives you two more entries in the Bullies Memoir.

Staying quiet or talking about the balloon won’t help you. Corey now actually wants you to film him, which you can refuse if you want:

Choice

Outcome

(Film him) Fine, but then I’m leaving.

Neutral. You start filming him and his bike.

No… I’ve gotta go home.

Neutral. Opens another dialogue choice.

Corey asking Swann to film him in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Choosing to film him unlocks more entries for the Bullies Memoir. He gives you some poses to record, and the scene ends after he gives you a third pose. But if you refuse to film him, he won’t be so pleased, and forces you to think again:

Choice

Outcome

(Film him) Fine, I’ll do it…

Neutral. You start filming him and his bike.

No!

Neutral.

If you film him here, the scene goes exactly as in the choice before. Refusing again or staying silent makes Corey even more aggressive, and you can tell him off once more:

Choice

Outcome

It’s not my fault…

Neutral

Saying it or staying silent, it won’t matter. Corey snaps at you and demands you to apologize. You have a few choices, but you barely have time to pick them. Kat arrives to save you. This also happens if you film Corey. The girls decide to go to the movies and leave the couple behind:

Choice

Outcome

You sure I can come?

Autumn approves.

I just wanna go home…

Nora disapproves.

Kat in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Being quiet won’t change anything. Corey doesn’t want her sister to go, and Kat reacts by giving her the only logical answer: by flipping her sister off. Of course, you can react to it, or stay quiet and don’t change anything (again):

Choice

Outcome

Whoa…

Kat disapproves.

(Laugh.)

Kat approves.

She had it coming. But Corey’s still mad about it, so he steals Autumn’s shop keys and throws them away before leaving with Dylan. The chapter ends with the girls all being angry and confused, as Autumn is now in some big trouble if they don’t find the keys.
