One creative Witcher enthusiast has shared their handmade miniature models of the Places of Power, inspired by their Witcher 3: Wild Hunt counterparts. Apart from the latest mainline Witcher game, these points of interest also appear in the 2007 original, but in a different form.
In the Witcher series, Places of Power are hidden locations in the game’s world that, upon discovery, grant the player certain buffs or skill points. Hence, these locations are an important part of the historical RPG, especially in the third entry in the series. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the most successful game in the CD Projekt Red franchise, which has greatly contributed to the IP’s popularity over the years and is also considered one of the best games in history. As a result, Witcher fan tributes have become increasingly common across the internet. One of the latest among these fan creations revolved around the Places of Power and has attracted attention on social media.

In a Reddit post, user tadamig revealed handmade mini replicas of the Places of Power shown in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The pictures depicted three holed pillars with vibrant glowing signs, similar to the in-game objects. Evidently, the Igni, Axii, and Aard versions of the Places of Power were recreated by the talented Witcher fan. Whether it be the cracked, moss-covered look or the carved symbols on the rocky surface, the hand-painted models replicated the Places of Power just as depicted in the game. They revealed that the largest one from the lot, the Igni Place of Power replica, weighed in at 1.5 kgs and measured up to 37 cm tall. Moreover, they expressed an interest in creating a 1:1, life-size version of the in-game pillar in the future.
Witcher Fan Shares How They Built the Place of Power Replicas
Tadamig shared that they created these models, based on the latest Witcher game, with the help of clay, cardboard, some 3D-printed parts, paint, hot glue, and an LED strip. Precisely, they first built the barebones structure, followed by fitting the LED light in place, after which they put clay all over and molded the Place of Power replica. Finally, they finished off the process by hand-painting the entire figure. In the comments, several Reddit users showered praise on the efforts of the passionate Witcher fan, with one saying, “Amazing work, talented human!”
On February 11, 2025, fans of the Witcher franchise received a brand-new animated series adaptation, titled Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, on Netflix. A few years down the road, they may also expect to get an entirely new entry in the video game series, The Witcher 4, which was revealed at The Game Awards in December 2024.
