Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans are excited about the Infinity Castle Arc movies, as the series is preparing to head into its final arc. Demon Slayer has managed to become one of the most solid shounen franchises of the past decade, and the anime adaptation plays a major role in this achievement.

While the manga may have ended too soon for some, it will still take some time for the anime to adapt everything – although it has already reached a crucial moment in the story. Demon Slayer: Is A Sequel Possible?

Muzan Kibutsuji’s Lair

As the title suggests, most of the Infinity Castle arc takes place in Infinity Castle, Muzan’s lair. Not all demons are aware of the existence of this place. However, this is no ordinary castle: it is actually located in an alternate dimension, with endless rooms and a weird gravity. Nakime is key here, as she can shift the structures with her powers.

Well, the Demon Slayers will jump into the castle to defeat Muzan, and some exciting battles are in store. Highlights of this arc include Tanjiro (plus Giyu Tomioka) vs. Akaza, with the Demon Slayers finally avenging Rengoku, and Zenitsu vs. Kaigaku, his former classmate who turned into a demon. But there are some other nice fights as well:

• Mitsuri and Iguro vs Nakime
• Muichiro Tokito, Genya, Sanemi and Gyomei vs Kokushibo
• Shinobu, Kanao Tsuyuri and Inosuke vs Doma

Is Infinity Castle The Final Arc?

The Infinity Castle arc is technically the penultimate arc. When the Demon Slayers finally seem to have Muzan cornered, he kills Nakime to prevent Yushiro from using the castle to his advantage. This is where the Sunrise Countdown arc begins.

However, since both arcs are closely related and part of the larger Final Battle Saga, it is possible that the movie trilogy will also adapt the real final arc. Sunrise Countdown features not only the final battle against Muzan, but also an unforeseen battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Tanjiro Kamado.

However, the Infinity Castle arc is from chapters 140 to 183, and the Sunrise Countdown arc is from chapters 184 to 205. Over 60 chapters may be too much content to cover in three movies, so the final arc may require an additional movie or season.

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie 1 Release Date

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Infinity Castle will be released later this year – the exact release date is set to be announced on March 1, but leaked information suggests that the movie will be released in the US on September 12, 2025. This information was accidentally shared by a few cinema chains and the official Sony Pictures’ French website, but was quickly taken out. Given that it was leaked from official sources, there is a high chance it is true, but plans might have changed.

Sony and Crunchyroll are partnering once again to screen the movie in many other countries around the world, as they have done with previous movies and compilation films of the series. The production team is sure it will be a huge hit, and they even expect that Infinity Castle will surpass Mugen Train‘s box office.

When Will The Other Movies Be Out?

There is also no official news regarding the release window of the other movies, but according to rumors, there will be a movie every two years. If this is confirmed to be true, then the second movie will be released in 2027 and the final one will come out in 2029. There is a chance that they might reveal new information about the other movies on March 1.
