Kozuki Oden has a new art. This is all for his birthday.
This makes the debate hard. One Piece fans from Japan chime in on the debate, and fans can see who they think are the top 5 strongest characters on a ranking website known as Ranking Net.
The Strongest Character According to Japanese Fans – Gol D. Roger
One Piece fans from Japan voted for the strongest One Piece character, and that title was awarded to none other than the Pirate King himself, Gol D. Roger. This isn’t surprising to anyone, and Roger was, of course, a powerhouse in the One Piece world when he was alive and in his prime.
The Second Strongest Character – Whitebeard
The second place belongs to Edward Newgate, better known as Whitebeard. Whitebeard is an insanely powerful character, and had one of the most broken fruits in the One Piece series. Fans saw how powerful he was during the Marineford war, and that was an old and sick Whitebeard at the end of his life. Prime Whitebeard could clash with Roger, and the strongest pirate is definitely between these two.
Third Strongest Character – Shanks
The third strongest character, according to One Piece fans in Japan, is Shanks, one of the Yonko. Fans have yet to see Shanks truly go all out, but even without that, everybody knows how strong he really is. Shanks is probably the most talented Haki user alive at the moment. Fans have all their hopes that Shanks will definitely deliver in the final saga.
Mihawk and Garp End up In 4th and 5th Place
And finally, in 4th and 5th place fans voted for Mihawk, the strongest swordsman, and Garp, the hero of the marine. Both of these characters are absolutely powerful, and fans have yet to see the true extent of Mihawk’s power. In his prime, Garp went toe to toe with Roger, which is an incredible feat.
Some powerful characters that didn’t make it to the top 5 include Imu, the 5 Elders, Kaido, Big Mom, Dragon, and Luffy, among others. But, at the end of the day, they’re just rankings based on fan votes, so they don’t mean much.
