Slap Battles Medusa Glove Ability Explained
Before you start looking for a way to counter the Medusa Glove in Slap Battles, you need to understand the specifics of its ability. It’s called Petrify, and as you might guess, it turns other players into stone. Luckily, it has a few important conditions that need to be met in order for players to make use of said ability; otherwise, this Glove would be too strong.
When a player with the Medusa Glove activates the ability, an eye and a pink heart will appear above their head. If you look at this player, a pink tint will appear on your screen. Then, after 5 seconds, everyone who was looking at the user’s Medusa Glove will turn into stone.
The petrification effect lasts for 5 seconds or until you are slapped.
It’s worth noting that, while petrified, you can still use your Gloves’ abilities.

How to Counter the Medusa Glove in Slap Battles
Now that you know how dangerous the Medusa Glove is, you’ll likely want to know how to avoid petrification. Thankfully, there are a lot of ways to do this.
The first and easiest way to counter the Medusa Glove in Slap Battles is to not look at the user when they activate the Petrify ability. Of course, this is quite dangerous, as you can easily be slapped from behind. As such, players need to use the charge time of the Petrify ability to their advantage.
We recommend that you always keep an eye on the player with the Medusa Glove in Slap Battles. As soon as you see a pink heart and an eye above the player’s head, count 3-4 seconds and turn away. It takes 5 seconds to fully charge the ability, after which a 17-second cooldown begins.
Apart from this, you can also use various Gloves that stun or teleport you. Good examples are the MEGAROCK Glove that turns you into stone or the ZZZZZZZ Glove that ragdolls you. In these states, you are immune to the Petrify ability in Slap Battles. Players can also make use of Gloves that can reflect abilities, such as Reverse.
