While you can toss ingredients into a campfire and hope for the best, mastering more advanced cooking methods will reward you with better meals, faster results, and a richer gameplay experience.
How To Cook
The process is simple but varies in efficiency depending on the method you use. To cook, interact with a cooking device by clicking on it, then place your desired food inside the menu that appears. Click ‘Cook’ to begin the process. Cooking single items will prepare them as they are, but combining two or more ingredients unlocks new recipes with improved benefits.
There are multiple ways to cook. Campfires are scattered throughout the map and offer a basic but slow cooking method. If you want to cook more efficiently, you’ll need to find and use other cooking tools, such as Fireplaces, Garden Firepits, Grills, or Gas Stoves.
These methods speed up the cooking process and can be obtained by looting Common Crates, PVP Arenas, Bunkers, and Airdrops.
What Can You Cook?
A variety of ingredients can be cooked, including fish/meat that you catch, berries that you forage, and fruits and vegetables that you grow. Additionally, you can prepare coffee and tea for extra benefits. If you have a Grill or another advanced cooking tool, you can access the recipe book by clicking the red book icon to the left of the ‘Cook’ button. This feature provides a list of possible recipes, helping you discover new meals.
