How To Complete The Volcanic Vents Bestiary In Fisch

Volcanic Vents has 10 new fish, but only nine are part of the bestiary (more on that later). They have volcanic patterns, just like the ones from the Ashfall event—so Dr. Finnues’s theory was spot on. That’s likely where the lava fish first surfaced.

Volcanic Vents Location In Fisch

As mentioned above, Volcanic Vents is the first trench in Mariana’s Veil. To get there, you’ll need to finish Dr. Glimmerfin’s quest and build a submarine. Once you have your watercraft, head to the ocean surface near Roslit Volcano and dive under the Mariana’s Veil location marker.

Deep below, you’ll find a cave entrance—get inside, and you’ll land in the vents. Since the other cave layers are locked, you’ll automatically end up in the right area. Just dive carefully! You’ll spot glowing lava on the walls, making it easier to find your way.

Once you’re there, head to the lava pond to fish for the bestiary. It’s located south on the map—just go there, turn west from the cave’s end, and keep walking until you reach it. Equipping a glider will help you make high jumps and avoid falling into the lava.

Here are some tips to help you obtain all the Volcanic Vents Bestiary fish in Fisch:

• Most fish have their favorite bait and spawn conditions (weather, season, time), but you can still grab them with random bait (or even no bait) on a regular Fisch day. That said, using the right items makes the process faster, so keep a Windset Totem, Tempest Totem, and Sundial Totem in your inventory for weather changes, and open Bait Crates and Volcanic Geodes to grab the preferred fish bait.
• Also, almost all Volcanic Vents fish are easy to catch. Only Mythical and Legendary ones take longer (since they have around -60 to -65 progress speed), but any decent rod, like the Steady Rod or Arctic Rod, will work. That said, trying one with high resilience and lure speed will make things smoother and quicker.
