A new leak from Genshin Impact is teasing a trio of new Local Legends enemies planned to be added to the game during the Version 5.5 update. The massively popular HoYoverse RPG has introduced a wide variety of enemies throughout the world of Teyvat, offering different levels of challenges for its massive playerbase. Normal and Elite Enemies can be found roaming the in-game world, while enemies like World Bosses and Weekly Bosses boast their own arenas with unique rewards. However, Fontaine brought an entirely new level of challenge to the RPG with a new enemy variant.

The Local Legends enemies, first introduced to Genshin Impact with Fontaine’s release, are some of the RPG’s most powerful in-game enemies. Local Legends enemies not only boast staggering HP totals requiring players to bring their strongest characters, but can also inflict massive damage and quickly overwhelm an unprepared team. Fontaine and Natlan both feature a scattered selection of Local Legends, with players rewarded with an achievement for defeating each different enemy. Now, Natlan’s next map expansion is set to bring three new Local Legends to Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Leak Teases Version 5.5 Local Legends

As reported by Sportskeeda and HoYoverse leaker Kazusa Leaks, Genshin Impact‘s Version 5.5 will be adding three new Local Legends enemies. The Peak will serve as the first of the game’s new enemies as a “Mutant Species That Fell into the Volcano,” found in Natlan’s new area near the Fallingstar Fields waypoint. “Battlegoat” and “Ironclaw” will fight players as a pair within the expanded Natlan map, located near the new Artifact domain. Kazusa Leaks also shared a third unnamed Local Legend enemy, though its location within Genshin Impact‘s map has not been confirmed.

New Version 5.5 Local Legends

  • The Peak: Located near the Fallingstar Fields teleport waypoint
  • Battlegoat and Ironclaw: Located near the new Artifact Domain
  • Unnamed third Local Legend: In-game location unknown

Genshin Impact‘s newest Local Legends will serve as another major challenge for players to discover in the game’s newest region. Natlan already boasts sixteen different Local Legends spread throughout the Pyro region, including both a variety of different beasts and creatures and several Fatui enemies to battle. HoYoverse has also not been afraid to add Local Legends to past regions with map expansions, bringing Liyue’s first Local Legend in Version 4.4 with the introduction of Chenyu Vale. Version 5.5 is currently expected to launch on March 26.

New Local Legends aren’t the only thing set to come to Genshin Impact during Version 5.5 alongside its new map expansion. HoYoverse has already revealed two characters that will debut during the update, with Varesa as a new five-star unit alongside the long-awaited release of Iansan as a four-star character. Version 5.5 is also heavily rumored to feature re-runs of several popular five-star characters, expected to welcome Xianyun, Xilonen, and Venti back to the limited gacha banner. Genshin Impact‘s next update should bring loads of content to satisfy a wide range of fans.
