Elden Ring Fan Shows Off Melina and Torrent Cosplay

In an impressive show of talent, an Elden Ring fan has brought both Melina and Torrent to life through an accurate cosplay and an eye-catching life-size replica, respectively. In Elden Ring, Melina is an NPC who is encountered early on, whereas Torrent is one of the steeds featured in the game.

Since 2022, Elden Ring has risen to the status of being something of a phenomenon in gaming, with a long list of accolades and commercial milestones to its name. In 2024, the FromSoftware-developed title’s DLC expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, also hit notable levels of success and brought the action RPG back to the top of the sales charts. Over the years, the fantasy IP has only grown in terms of popularity, with Elden Ring reaching more than 28 million players as of December 2024. While such favorable standing among gamers has helped the devs move copies of the game, it has also led to a concentration of various fan creations appearing on the internet, the latest of which showed an accurate Elden Ring cosplay.

Even after the answers brought by revelations in Shadow of the Erdtree, many questions regarding Elden Ring’s lore may never be addressed.

On Reddit, user ordinarymizu showed pictures of their Melina cosplay, alongside their full-scale model of Torrent, both of which appeared at the Katsucon 2025 anime convention. Showing great accuracy, the passionate Elden Ring player’s Melina costume features every crucial detail, from the character’s memorable pink hair to her drab-looking cloak. The eye-makeup and the blade prop are also in sync with how Elden Ring depicts Melina in the story. Additionally, the post also shares a good look at a giant dummy horse modeled after Torrent, which noticeably features the character’s iconic white mane and horns as seen in the game.

Elden Ring Fan Reveals Cosplay Details, Garners Praise from Other Players

Ordinarymizu revealed that the entire project, including the Melina costume and Torrent’s life-size recreation, took them 1.5 months to finish. They revealed that the Elden Ring steed was created using a 3D-printed body, held together by PVC tubes, in which the printing process itself took about two weeks to complete. Moreover, Torrent’s mane was created using wig hair, whereas its accessories were built from leather and fabric for a “more realistic” appeal. The creative Elden Ring fan also shared that the horse weighed 25 kilograms and couldn’t be mounted as it was mostly hollow. In the comments, several other players complimented ordinarymizu’s efforts, with one user saying, “I remember seeing you at Katsucon. Your cosplay and Torrent looked great!”

Elsewhere, it looks like Elden Ring could further boost its fan-base by reaching new audiences in a new format. A recent comment by lore creator George R. R. Martin revealed that a film adaptation of FromSoftware’s award-winning title could possibly arrive in the future. However, before that ever happens, fans can expect to revisit the fantasy universe once again when the spin-off game Elden Ring: Nightreign rolls out on May 30.
