Dr Disrespect has asked Twitch to “do the right thing” and unban him while claiming that he should have never been removed from the service in the first place.
Last year, the streaming world was turned upside down when the reason behind Guy Beahm, better known as Dr Disrespect, being banned from Twitch in 2020 was revealed. A report claimed that Beahm had been “inappropriately” messaging a minor through Twitch’s Whisper app, which is what led to him being permanently banned.

That report was later confirmed to be true by Beahm, despite him saying that “nothing illegal happened” in the messages. Since then, Disrespect has been dropped by most of his sponsors, been briefly demonetised by YouTube, and even saw his gaming studio shut down entirely, all while trying to erase his admittance of what happened with Twitch.
Dr Disrespect Thinks He Should Be Unbanned From Twitch
While it looked like Disrespect was going to fade from the streaming world after what happened, that’s not been the case, as he’s recently started streaming on Rumble. Now that most of the world sadly seems to have stopped caring about the Twitch ban, Beahm has taken to saying that he shouldn’t have been banned in the first place.
As reported by Insider Gaming, Beahm (using his actual account instead of the Dr Direspect persona) took to Twitter a few days ago to say that he should have “never been banned” from Twitch in the first place, and that the service should do “the right thing” and reinstate his Dr Disrespect persona.
They could’ve reached out and had a quick 5 minute call and realize these mutual jokes and bantering never had serious intentions. – Guy Beahm
Beahm calls the situation “pathetic” and claims that a low-level employee shouldn’t have been able to override the ban system to get him removed, something that he thinks wouldn’t have been the case if Twitch had talked to him and realised “these mutual jokes and bantering” didn’t have serious intentions.
It’s worth noting that, despite defending them in the past and claiming they were harmless, Beahm has never shared the messages that got him banned from Twitch, something that his watchers are saying should be released if he wants to be unbanned. That likely won’t ever happen, but it seems that Beahm still isn’t done defending the whole situation.
