Understanding Vision Cone
Make sure you see everything
Understanding the vision cone of your operators is step one when you’re planning out your move. You don’t get 360 degrees of vision in the game, and it’s possible to walk past enemies without even seeing them. Your operators can only see in front of them in a cone, and the area behind them is always fogged unless you have a second operator for backup.
You can manually set the direction where your operator will face by using the right mouse button. When setting waypoints, make sure you tweak your operator’s vision cone at specific points so that they don’t walk blindly into a house full of bad guys.

Using the Slow Motion Button
Slow down time to fine tune your movement
While the game has a pause button that you can and should use, sometimes slowing down time is enough to tweak your plan. Whenever you’re breaching a wall with explosive charges or opening a door, press the L button on your Keyboard to activate Slow Motion and fix your operator’s vision cones.
Pressing the L button again deactivates the Slow Motion.

Check for Alternative Entries
There is always more than one way to enter
Door Kickers 2 offers players complete freedom in deciding how they want to play the game. When you start a mission, scope out the map and think of all the ways you can enter the mission area. Is it better to open or kick down the Flimsy Door? Or is it better to set an explosive charge on a wall and create an entry for yourself?
If there’s a window, you can also use it to peek inside and get a surprise ambush on the enemies hidden inside. Always check the area carefully when you’re setting a plan in motion.

Activate Colored Plans
Don’t mix up your operators
By default, the path you set for your operatives is white. But when the squads and the maps get bigger, things can become extremely chaotic. It’s easy to lose track of which operator is moving to a specific point when all the paths are the same color.

Understanding Operator Stats
The skills of the operator matters
The soldiers in your squad have specific stats that upgrade as you clear more missions with them. There are three primary stats:
- Marksmanship: Determines the soldier’s accuracy.
- Assault Shooting: determines the soldier’s aim speed.
- Field Skill: Determines how quickly the soldier handles equipment such as explosives, crowbars, or lockpicks.
Once you get some Battle Honors, you can further add some perks to the character to boost their effectiveness in missions. Since only the operators you use for missions get stat upgrades, it’s best to keep playing with four to eight characters instead of trying to upgrade all 20 in your squad.
The operatives also get promoted as you earn levels by clearing missions with them.

Don’t use the same loadout on each character
Each operative in a specific class has a default set of loadout. For example, in the Rangers squad, there are four classes: Assault, Support, Marksman, and Grenadier. The Assault Class starts with a standard M16A4 Rifle which offers a good balance of long-range and close-quarters combat.

There’s a big difference between opening the door by hand or kicking it down in Door Kickers 2. Kicking doors is certainly the loud and proud way of doing things. When you’re storming a place, kicking down doors will stun the enemies that are standing nearby and give your operators an early chance at firing the decisive shots.
However, when you’re walking into a large room, opening the door by hand is usually the better approach. It’s quieter, and you can get the killing shot off before the bad guys catch on to you.
