Every Dendro Character In Genshin Impact, Ranked

Ever since its release in Version 3.0, the Dendro element has seen many new characters, and here’s how good they are.

Kinich is a DPS that deals high damage using his Elemental Skill and his Elemental Burst. Kinich’s scaling is one of the highest in the game, making him a very strong character. His kit is based around Burning and Burgeon, but he’s not built with Elemental Mastery in mind. It’s important to build Kinich the right way to make full use of this amazing character, so here are Kinich’s best weapons for dealing the highest damage.

Update on Febrary 22, 2025, by Asad Kashif: With the release of the Pyro Archon, Kinich got both an amazing teammate and a splendid addition to his weaponry in the form of A Thousand Blazing Suns. The claymore fits all of Kinich’s needs, having high base ATK and a passive that further buffs your ATK and Elemental DMG. Since the full extent of the weapon is locked behind Natlan characters, Kinich becomes one of the best wielders of Mavuika’s signature. We’ve added this in, as well as some other F2P options, to compile a complete list of the best Kinich weapons.

Debate Club

The Debate Club's stat page in Genshin Impact.

Base ATK

401

ATK

35.2 percent

Ability (Base)

Deal 60-120 percent of your ATK as extra DMG every three seconds.

The Debate Club

is no character’s best weapon. It being a three-star means that even if its passive synergizes perfectly with a character, the lower stats mean that there is always a better alternative. However, you may not always have said alternative, especially if you’re new to the world of Genshin Impact.

In such cases, the Debate Club becomes a viable statstick until you find something else to switch to. It has an ATK percent substat that benefits Kinich, as well as a passive that deals a separate instance of damage based on your ATK.

Blackcliff Slasher

Genshin Impact's Beidou holding Blackcliff Slasher.

Base ATK

510

CRIT DMG

55.1 percent

Ability (Base)

Increase ATK by 12-24 percent upon killing an enemy. This can stack up thrice.

The Blackcliff Slasher

is a generally good weapon that you can put on any DPS until you find a better one. The Crit Damage secondary stat it provides is useful on any character, and the passive gives you a huge bonus to your Attack stat when you kill an enemy.

It’s important to keep in mind that this weapon works best in AOE, something Kinich is not the best at dealing with. However, even without making full use of the passive, just the Crit Damage stat alone puts it above other four-star options for Kinich.

9

Serpent Spine

An imager from Genshin Impact of the Serpent Spine claymore's stats, which can be obtained via the Battle Pass.

Base ATK

510

CRIT Rate

27.6 percent

Ability (Base)

Every four seconds a character is on the field, they will deal six-ten percent more DMG and take three-two percent more DMG. This effect has a maximum of five stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by one stack when the character takes DMG.

When it comes to pure damage, this Battle Pass weapon is the single best four-star in the game. It has a Crit Rate main stat, something any DPS desperately needs, as well as a huge damage bonus passive that is activated so long as you don’t take damage.

The stacks gained from Serpent Spine

can be lost due to self-damage from Burning or Burgeon, which cannot be blocked by shields.

Even if the weapon does have the highest damage potential, there are some nuances. For one, it takes time for the damage to stack up, making a large portion of its buffs only benefit you at the end of the rotation. Also, unless you have a Zhongli or another durable shielder, maintaining these stacks is nearly impossible.

8

Tidal Shadow

An image from Genshin Impact of the Tidal Shadow claymore, including the weapon's upgrade materials and stats.

Base ATK

510

ATK

41.3 percent

Ability (Base)

Increase ATK by 24-48 percent for eight seconds upon being healed.

The Tidal Shadow

is one of Fontaine’s craftable weapons that you can unlock from the blacksmith. Once unlocked, you can get it fully refined, so long as you can collect the materials necessary to do so. Once you’re done, you’ve got a fully free weapon that isn’t locked behind luck, yet can outperform weapons that are.

The weapon has an ATK percent substat and a decent amount of base ATK. However, where it shines is its ability to get the equipping character even more ATK when they get healed. This ATK is more of an increase than many other similar options, and the condition is already fulfilled in Kinich’s best teams due to Bennett being a healer as well.

7

Earth Shaker

Kinich from Genshin Impact holding the Earth Shaker weapon.

Base ATK

565

ATK

27.6 percent

Ability (Base)

Increase Elemental Skill DMG by 16-32 percent for eight seconds whenever a nearby party member triggers a Pyro-related reaction.

Earth Shaker is the four-star version of Kinich’s signature weapon, Fang of the Mountain King. It doesn’t give you any bonus to your Crit, opting instead to give you more Attack.

Genshin Impact: 10 Best Four-Star Weapons

Don’t have five-star weapons in Genshin Impact? Well, these four-star options are more than enough to carry you in the game.

The passive activates upon a party member triggering Burning or Burgeon, something Kinich’s best teams are very good at doing. Once you’ve met the requirements, the weapon gives Kinich a huge bonus to his Elemental Skill damage.

6

Wolf’s Gravestone

The Wolf's Gravestone Stat Screen in Genshin Impact.

Base ATK

608

ATK

49.6 percent

Ability (Base)

Increase ATK by 20-40 percent. Additionally, if you hit an opponent below 30 percent HP, increase the ATK of all party members by 40-80 percent.

The Wolf’s Gravestone

used to be one of the strongest weapons in the game. It has since fallen quite a bit, but it remains an excellent option for damage dealers that use claymores. The weapon doesn’t provide any Crit, but grants the user the highest Attack stat in the game.

The first passive further increases your attack without any additional conditions, whereas the second one buffs your attack to an absurd amount if you deal damage to an enemy low on health. If you manage to utilize the passive properly, the weapon can compete with other five-star options. However, in single target scenarios especially, doing so is quite a challenge.

5

The Unforged

Base ATK

608

ATK

49.6 percent

Ability (Base)

Increase shield strength and gain four-eight percent increased ATK whenever you hit an enemy, up to 20-40 percent. If you’re protected by a shield, this ATK increase is doubled to six-16 percent per stack, up to a maximum of 40-80 percent.

The Unforged

has a similar case to Wolf’s Gravestone. If you manage to fulfill its requirements, it can outperform other five-star options. However, building a team around a shielder when you won’t otherwise need one can be a hassle.

The weapon gains bonus points for being more comfortable to play since you won’t have to worry about doing specific things to keep the buff up. Since the Unforged also encourages you to play with a shielder, Kinich teams where he uses the Unforged would in general be more relaxing to play, while still dealing competitive amounts of damage.

4

Verdict

Genshin Impact's Navia holding the Verdict Weapon.

Base ATK

674

Critical Rate

22.1 percent

Ability (Base)

Increase ATK by 20-40 percent. Additionally, gain 18-36 percent increase Elemental Skill DMG for 15 seconds whenever a nearby party member picks up a Crystalize Shard. This can stack up twice.

Navia’s main form of damage is through her Elemental Skill, just like Kinich. Also like Kinich, she uses a claymore. This makes her signature weapon a superb choice for Kinich as well, though it’s more difficult to use its passive than with Navia.

Genshin Impact: Best Weapons For Navia

Navia is one of the most flexible characters in Genshin Impact when it comes to the Claymore choices since most of them suit her play style.

If you’re using Verdict

on Kinich, it’s a good idea to pair him with a Geo character, despite them not benefitting him in any other way. Kachina is the best option currently, being able to hold the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set while also increasing the frequency of Nightsoul Burst triggers. You’ll have to get a Pyro Crystalize reaction before putting your Kichin on field, but the damage bonus you get from doing so is well worth the inconvenience.

3

A Thousand Blazing Suns

A Thousand Blazing Suns weapon is shown in Genshin Impact.

Base ATK

741

Critical Rate

11 percent

Ability (Base)

After using a character’s elemental skill or elemental burst, you will get the Scorching Brilliance effect. This increases your critical damage by 20-40 percent and attack by 28-56 percent for six seconds. This buff is increased by 75 percent for Natlan characters, and the timer increases whenever you deal Elemental DMG with your Normal Attack.

The Pyro Archon and Kinich share their love for lots of ATK. Even ignoring everything else, the high base ATK on this weapon already makes it superb for Kinich. However, it provides so much more to Kinich, increasing his CRIT DMG by 20 percent and his ATK stat by 28 percent at refinement one.

Unfortunately, Kinich can’t lengthen the time of the buffs due to his inability to deal Dendro damage with his Normal Attacks. You will have to either shorten his rotations or perform a Normal Attack within Bennett’s Burst before you use your Elemental Skill to make full use of this weapon.

If all of this wasn’t enough, both of these buffs are increased for him due to his ability to trigger Nightsoul Bursts, getting him a total of 35 percent CRIT DMG, 49 percent ATK, 11 percent CRIT Rate, and an astounding 741 base ATK, giving him a level of stats unrivaled by any other weapon.

2

Beacon Of The Reed Sea

An image from Genshin Impact of Dehya wielding her claymore, called the Beacon Of The Reed Sea

Attack

608

Critical Rate

33.1 percent

Ability (Base)

After the character’s Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their ATK will be increased by 20-40 percent for eight seconds. After the character takes DMG, their ATK will be increased by 20-40 percent for eight seconds.

Dehya’s signature weapon is a surprisingly good fit for Kinich since both of them deal a large portion of their damage using their Elemental Skills. The weapon’s activation requirement synergizes seamlessly with how Kinich’s Skill works, taking effect right as Kinich attaches himself to an enemy.

It’s better to not use a shielder if you’re equipping Beacon of the Reed Sea

on Kinich, as the damage nullification can interfere with the second passive.

The weapon is a good way to build up your Crit Rate, which is especially useful for characters with Crit Damage ascensions, such as Kinich. The first passive takes effect naturally, granting Kinich an extremely strong bonus to his Attack stat. You might have to take a hit to utilize the full potential of this weapon, but it’s a strong pick regardless.

1

Fang Of The Mountain King

Kinich from Genshin Impact holding the Fang of the Mountain King weapon.

Attack

741

Critical Rate

11 percent

Ability (Base)

Gain stacks when you deal Elemental Skill DMG or trigger Burgeon or Burning. Get ten-20 percent increased Elemental Skill DMG for each stack, up to six.

Signature weapons for Genshin characters are always multiple levels beyond what any alternative could provide, and Kinich’s weapon might give him one of the largest boosts relative to the other options out of any five-star character.

Kinich can gain stats even when he’s on standby if his party members trigger the aforementioned reactions.

The weapon gives Kinich Crit Rate. Passively, the weapon grants him stacks when he deals damage using his Elemental Skill, or when a party member activates Burning or Burgeon, both conditions the best Kinich teams fulfill easily.

Upon reaching a certain number of stats, Fang of the Mountain King

grants Kinich a gigantic boost to both his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage, solidifying its spot as the best weapon for Kinich.
