Uuvana Studios’ survival game Longvinter has finally left its Steam Early Access period after three years in development, marking the 1.0 milestone with some big news for fans. Longvinter has been dubbed ‘Animal Crossing with guns’ by fans, offering up a unique experience with this kind of crossover.
Longvinter first released on Steam Early Access in February 2022, when it debuted to a small audience of under 1,000 concurrent players. The player count has remained relatively consistent since then, hovering around the 1,000-player mark for the entire three years. For a game of its size, this is pretty impressive, with developer Uuvana Studios making great use of Early Access to keep players coming back with new content. In the wake of its 1.0 release, Longvinter has smashed its all-time concurrent player count, comfortably shooting past the 3,000-player milestone with numbers still rising.
