All Choices In Chapter 4 In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

All Choices In Chapter 4 In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage
Views: 0

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage‘s fourth chapter, Welcome To Velvet Cove, is another short introductory chapter that gives us a bit more insight into who Swann is. After leaving her room in 1995, we follow her as she walks through the forest to return her rental video to the Movie Palace. On the way, you’ll get the opportunity to record many critters, birds, and more for your memoir collectibles.

Welcome to The Swann Show!

Meanwhile, present-day Swann meets the bartender of the Blue Spruce and reminisces about the past while she waits. There are few choices available in this chapter, and fortunately, you don’t have to worry about getting any of them wrong.

Meeting Gus The Bartender

Bartender At Blue Spruce In Present Timeline In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

When you walk into the bar, the bartender greets you but has to leave to go take care of something, leaving you alone at the bar to wait.

While you wait, there are four reminisce spots here:

  • Liquor Shelf
  • Chalkboard
  • Radio
  • Deer Head

The Deer Head will move you forward in the story and time warp you to 1995, so make sure to do that one last if you want to collect all the reminisce spots.

A Walk Through The Woods

Recording Buck At Mikaelsen's Ranch In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

The time warp takes us into the woods right outside the Mikaelsen’s Deer Ranch where Swann is watching one of the bucks. When Swann picks up her camcorder, aim it at him and press the button to start recording for the Hunting Memoir.

Once you’re done there, the scene will move forward to Swann stopping along the trail by a pond full of geese and other animals.

This part of the chapter doesn’t have any choices to make, but there will be plenty of options to gather footage for various memoirs, including:

  • Birds!: The geese in the pond all count as one.
  • Hunting: To the right, a buck will appear, and on your left, on some of the rocks, are two does you can record.
  • Critters: There should be a squirrel on one of the rocks.

Continue through the story until the time warp, bringing you back to the present at the Blue Spruce.

Back At The Blue Spruce

Gus Asking Where You're From In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Gus the bartender is back and asking if you’re okay. He will introduce himself and ask you if you need anything.

While none of the choices you make here affect the outcome of your relationships, they will change how Gus responds to you.

Your first choice is when Gus introduces himself.

How are you?

Gus responds with “Can’t complain.

Don’t say anything.

Gus will just skip to his next scripted line.

Next, he’ll ask you if you’re from out of town.

I grew up here.

Gus will say, “Oh, well welcome back!”

I’m just visiting.

Gus will say, “Well, we’re honored to have you here at the Blue Spruce, then.”

When he mentions that it’s nice that you and your friend are having a reunion, you can respond with:

It’s not a big deal.

Gus will say, “Better make the best of it. You never know when it’ll be the last time.”

It’s kind of a special night.

Don’t say anything.

Gus will just skip to his next scripted line.

Asking Gus If You Can Borrow Charger In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Next he’ll ask what he can do for you. The game will tell you to look around to find new choices, but here the only option is to look down at the phone, and then the option to ask him “Do you have a spare phone charger?”.

You’ll see this type of choice often in the game, where you’ll have to look at someone or something to open up a choice option. This style of choice, if used, can help improve relationships with Swann’s friends.

Gus will plug your phone in, then ask if he can get you a drink. Your choice options are:

Actually… nature calls.

Gus will say, “Sure.”

I’ll wait for my friends to order.

Gus will say, “Gotcha!”

Even if you don’t choose the first option, Swann will ask him where the bathroom is.

Once you’re able to walk around again, there are a few reminisce spots on the way to the restroom:

  • The radio behind Gus. This was a reminisce spot earlier in the chapter, but this time you’ll get a different memory clip.
  • The bottle on a table behind the customer at the bar.
  • The football flag with a big M on it, behind one of the booths.
  • The microphone on the stage.

If you happen to walk close to the customer sitting at the bar, he’ll say “Hey there, miss.” which will prompt you with the option to say “Hi!” or ignore him.

When you’re ready, open the bathroom door to complete the chapter.
