Wuthering Waves Leak Reveals Interesting Detail About Zani

A new Wuthering Waves leak suggests that Zani could have a second in-game form in later patches. Zani is one of the most anticipated characters from Rinascita, but Wuthering Waves has not revealed her playable release date yet.

With the release of Rinascita, Wuthering Waves is set to add several Resonators to the playable roster throughout its 2.0 cycle. Earlier in January, the game debuted Carlotta and Roccia. More recently, in Version 2.1, Wuthering Waves released the 5-Star unit Phoebe, and the fan-favorite Brant is set to debut during the patch’s second phase as well. Out of all the characters that developer Kuro Games marketed for Rinascita, Zani is the last in line to become playable. Despite her popularity, Wuthering Waves has not confirmed her banner for the next update. However, a new leak has shed some light on Zani’s in-game future.

Reliable leaker WuWa Land has shared an image of Zani’s model for Version 2.2. The leak reveals that Zani would have a second form different from the one players have encountered in Version 2.0. Per the leak, Zani’s alternate outfit consists of a sleeveless shirt, a new red glove, and new belt accessories. The model also shows her with longer hair and wounds on her arms. According to WuWa Land, Zani’s second form would be story-related, but there is a chance it could also link to her playable kit. On the other hand, Wuthering Waves confirmed Cantarella’s debut for Version 2.2, and it seems she will be the only new unit in the next patch.

When Wuthering Waves shared the first images of Rinascita characters ahead of the nation’s launch, Zani quickly became popular among fans because of her unique design. Zani was later revealed to be affiliated with the Montelli family and briefly became Rover’s bodyguard while exploring Ragunna. Zani is among the most-anticipated upcoming characters in Wuthering Waves, and she played an important role in the Rinascita main quest. The game’s latest story trailer also teased more cutscenes of Zani for future patches, so players will likely learn more about her background soon.

Wuthering Waves Version 2.2 is expected to launch in late March. Earlier leaks suggested that Wuthering Waves would release Rover’s third element in the 2.2 update as well, which is rumored to be Aero. Fans will have to wait for more official information from Kuro Games about the patch in the upcoming weeks.
