Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s 25th Anniversary Is One More Chance For Activision To Change Course

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is approaching its quarter-century anniversary, and Activision should go all out for it.

After the tease first popped up on Black Ops 6’s Grind map, the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater website was updated to include a countdown that’s set to end on March 4. Although it’s pretty obvious what the project is going to end up being, fans have wondered if it really is Pro Skater 3+4 like we’ve all dreamed of. Wonder no more, Pro Skaters.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Website Source Code Confirms Pro Skater 3+4

Over on Twitter, user xFL1PPY (best-known for their Saints Row videos) shared an image that shows source code from the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater website. That code explicitly says that the countdown is for “thps-3-4-countdown”, confirming once and for all that the project being teased is for another remake collection.

I tried to dive into the website’s source code myself, and while I struggled to find the THPS-3-4 bit, I did find all the references to Chicago pretty easily.

Speaking of projects, the website also makes numerous references to “Project Chicago”, which is rumoured to be the remake’s codename. This was first reported by eXtas1s, who also said the collection was going to shadowdrop during Xbox’s Summer Showcase. That remains to be seen, but it does have more weight now.

If the source code wasn’t enough for you, xFL1PPY also shared a clearer image of the banner appearing on the website, which is clearly meant to be Skater Island from Pro Skater 3. It’s very tough to tell with the grainy filter over the image, but comparing it to the older game shows it has the same general layout.

All of this evidence combined makes it incredibly clear that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is going to be announced on March 4, which was already likely but it’s nice to have it confirmed once and for all before the countdown ends.
