Nyoka’s motivations and outlook on life are revealed in her companion quest, which is centered on a personal loss, tasking players with finding mementos of her lost companions. She is a nuanced character complete with firepower and a personality to match.

Butters brings his innocent charm and hilarious unpredictability from South Park into South Park: The Stick of Truth, making his interactions entertaining. He acts as a Paladin for the player’s party and showcases an eagerness to prove himself in battle, especially with his over-the-top transformation into “Professor Chaos” for a special ability in combat.
On top of having a goofy, innocent personality in the party, Butters offers a versatile moveset that can carry the party to the end of the game. Since he is “just so innocent, he naturally makes people want to punch him,” enemies are twice as likely to target him in combat, acting as a great tank who can also heal with his Healing Touch buddy ability.

Durance embodies religious fanaticism and philosophical conflict, serving as one of Pillars of Eternity’s most unpredictable and memorable companions. He was once part of a team of priests from Ashfall working on the Godhammer Bomb, which was used to end the Saint’s War. He is the only priest to survive the blast, with his body and soul left scarred.
As a battle mage, Durance provides powerful support through destructive magic and healing, making him an indispensable member of the party. His personal questline is filled with mystery and grim revelations that leave lasting impressions well after playing.

HK-47 is a droid companion fit for a Dark Side playthrough of KotoR 2, as these assassin series droids are known for being Jedi hunters. However, upon first meeting HK-47, players have to first find some replacement parts to fix him up. HK-47 was programmed by Revan, and brings dark humor and brutal efficiency tohis dialogue. He shows no regard for any form of life, often using the term “meatbag” when speaking of humans.
As an assassin droid, HK-47 relies on stealth and open combat, utilizing many ranged weapon types but favoring the Droid Assassin’s rifle. Since he is a Jedi hunter, he also relies heavily on grenades, plasma charges, and poison gas.

His unshakable sense of justice against the horrors of the wasteland makes for intriguing dialogue and choices. Meanwhile, in combat, his sniper skills make him an effective companion, but his stoic demeanor is what really shines through.
