“He is trying to protect Neagley, certainly. And I think any normal person would probably just say thank you. But not Neagley—Neagley has to get involved, of course. We show up for our people, as we’ve established in prior seasons, right? When Reacher calls, it doesn’t matter how many years it’s been or if I’ve ever heard from him at all. That’s just the bond these two characters share. So yeah, I think it’s a tribute to that kind of relationship—the kind you have with someone you’ve served with, someone you know so well.”
