Path of Exile 2 launches update 0.0.1d, introducing one helpful new feature and a variety of performance improvements and bug fixes.
Continuing this trend, the studio has now revealed two new Path of Exile 2 items that will debut as part of the 0.2.0 release. The duo consists of The Bringer of Rain Decorated Helm and The Hammer of Faith Giant Maul. Both are described as endgame content, which is a label that aligns with their fairly specialized properties.
Path of Exile 2 Update 0.2.0 Confirmed Endgame Items
- The Bringer of Rain Decorated Helm
- The Hammer of Faith Giant Maul
The Bringer of Rain’s key benefit is that it allows players to wield Path of Exile 2‘s two-handed weapons in just one hand. The catch is that it’s only usable bare-chested, as it prevents characters from using chest armor. Moreover, it offers no elemental resistances, which is quite a drawback for an endgame piece of armor. The Bringer of Rain requires Level 52, as well as 53 points in both Strength and Dexterity to equip. Given its distinctive blend of properties, this peculiar helmet will most likely only be of interest to players interested in hyper-offensive builds.
As for The Hammer of Faith, this two-handed mace bestows a random shrine buff upon its wielder every 10 seconds. It even offers a flat 10% bonus to all elemental resistances, and a 239% increase to physical damage. However, as is to be expected from such an oversized weapon, The Hammer of Faith is slow, averaging not even one attack per second. A strong but slow weapon of this sort should primarily cater to the Warrior class.
Path of Exile 2 Update 0.2.0 Coming in March 2025
Both of these newly confirmed additions are part of Grinding Gear Games’ wider efforts to improve Path of Exile 2 endgame by introducing more “cool” item rewards and expanding character build diversity. This ambition was previously cited as the main focus of the 0.2.0 update. The next big Path of Exile 2 patch is currently planned to roll out to PC and consoles in late March 2025.
