The Palworld community wants a scrapped shark Pal added to the game. In an interview with Destin Legarie, John “Bucky” Buckley, Communications Director and Publishing Manager at Pocketpair, revealed that one of the Pals that didn’t make the cut was a shark with a small creature inside. According to him, the concept was that the creature inside the shark would bite, not the one outside. Bucky also reveals that the idea was contested for weeks, but it didn’t go ahead and ended up “discarded for something else.”

Palworld Players Lament That Pal Shark Was Never Added to the Game

In reaction to the interview, Redditor stevenlovesviolin is one of the Palworld players who have expressed their desire to see the shark Pal added to the game. In the post, they shared a screenshot of the interview, and an image from the game’s presentation at the ThinkingData Summit 2024, which reveals the character’s design, which is a four-legged shark with a blue creature inside. Other players shared the OP’s wish, and one went further by sharing evidence of it in the game’s files. They then showed that it was a Water Pal called “StuffedShark” with work suitability level 3 for watering, and level 1 for transporting.

While players wait to find out if StuffedShark could be added to the game, Palworld continues to receive new features and monsters for players to catch. With the release of the Feybreak update, 24 new Pals debuted in the game, such as Foxsparks Cryst, a Foxsparks ice variant. Another impressive new character is Bastigor, a bipedal tiger with long sharp claws and blue fur. In addition to the new creatures, the patch brought the crossover with Terraria, the new raid boss Xenolord, and various exclusive, non-exclusive, and passive active skills.
