The Celestial Dragons were introduced long ago in the story, and before fans saw them in the flesh, it was assumed that they’d be immensely powerful. When the Celestial Dragons were truly revealed in One Piece, however, it became clear that they weren’t all that special after all. Sure, in terms of authority, they were the highest in the whole world and they were to be followed at all times, but in terms of strength, they weren’t anywhere close to being strong enough to justify being the rulers of the world. For the longest time, fans were wondering as to what it is that the Celestial Dragons rule the world. With the level of incompetence that they had shown for the vast majority of their time in One Piece and the weakness that they displayed, the Celestial Dragons were absolutely no threat.

An even bigger question was why the Celestial Dragons were even allowed to be the Gods of the world when they were so weak. The weak always get trampled in the world and the strong take their place. Yet, in the world of One Piece, this was seemingly not the case. For some reason, the Celestial Dragons were always in power despite being tremendously weak and nobody did anything about it at all. This was a major point of confusion for the fans of One Piece, and it certainly made things very intriguing to discuss among the fans. Finally, the last saga of One Piece has given its answer to the readers now, and it all lies in those who rule at the top.

Having seen Imu long ago, fans already knew that the one pulling the strings from behind the scenes was them. But, Imu’s power levels were unknown for a very long time. More than that, fans also got to see the Elders in action, and they too seemed very powerful in One Piece. The Elders showed tremendous strength in Egghead, and although they didn’t go all out, they did enough to impress the fans. But, despite the Five Elders and Imu being tremendously powerful, it still didn’t explain how the Celestial Dragons were as big a force as they were. The answer to this question lies in the Holy Knights.

The Holy Knights were first mentioned in the Egghead Arc of One Piece, and now, in Elbaf, they’re finally making a move. The Holy Knights are, undoubtedly, monstrously powerful individuals. Their Supreme Commander was Garling Figarland, but at the moment, it is unknown who actually holds the rank since he was promoted to Five Elders and given the position of Godhead of Science and Defense. Regardless, the Holy Knights have other strong members. For instance, Shamrock Figarland is a fighter comparable to Shanks in terms of power, and Gunko is said to be strong enough to hold her own against Loki, a man worthy of 2.6 billion berries bounty.

Similarly, One Piece chapter 1140 introduced fans to other powerful Celestial Dragons as well. Saint Sommers of House Shepherd was seen, albeit his abilities remain unknown to this day. However, Saint Qilingam on the other hand, showed their powers already. Saint Qilingam has the power of the Kirin Yokai, and this ability is undoubtedly immense. It is a mythical creature strong enough to be considered among the strongest in both Chinese and Japanese mythology.

The Kirin has tremendous power, and in some cases, it is said to be the most exalted of Gods. It can seemingly spit fire and even control wind, among other things. In other other cases, Kirin is said to be strong enough to manipulate lightning the best of all creatures, making it special, and it is also said to have a very tough skin, given it is part dragon. Clearly, this fruit is among the strongest Mythical Zoans that fans have seen in One Piece, and that goes without saying. It should rank alongside the likes of Kaido’s Uo Uo no Mi,Model: Seiryuu, and Marco’s Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix.

There Is No Stopping The Holy Knights In One Piece

So far, fans have seen the abilities of 3 members of the God’s Knights, and it is clear as day that they’re on a very high strength level. The Holy Knights are all strong enough to rival the likes of the Admirals, based on what fans have seen so far. Some might be even stronger, which is what makes them special. Now, when taking into consideration the fact that there are around 10 of these members, possibly even 18, then one can see what a threat the Celestial Dragons truly are and how they were able to defeat Joy Boy long ago. Truly, they’re monstrously powerful, and it is only a matter of time before Oda reveals to the fans what they’re truly capable of in One Piece.

For now, fans can rest easy knowing that the Holy Knights are the main reason, along with the Elders and Imu, that the World Government is essentially invincible so far. The Celestial Dragons are as strong as they were expected to be, and there is a level from them that fans have yet to see. Oda will clearly depict their strength more moving forward in One Piece, and all fans need to do is sit back and wait for everything to finally unfold, starting with the arc set in the land of the Giants, Elbaf.
