Summary
- The Thing is in Marvel Rivals now, but fans aren’t loving his First Family skin.
- All of the 600 lattice skins are quite basic, but this might be the worst offender.
- To translate this into real money, it costs around $6.
Marvel Rivals got two new characters yesterday, with The Thing and The Human Torch added to the roster. This unites the Fantastic Four and also means that they joined with a basic skin already available to purchase, the First Family suits.
These skins were already just basic recolours of the other members of the Fantastic Four, but with The Thing, it’s even more egregious since he’s only wearing pants. That means you’re putting down 600 credits, or lattice as it’s called in-game, for him to slightly change the colour of his shorts, and fans aren’t happy.
Marvel Rivals Players Aren’t Happy With This Skin For The Thing
Fans share which skins they think are the worse
Reddit user justindoit1337 got the conversation going by saying that The Thing’s First Family skin is the worst basic one in the game. Many, many others agree, with the post getting 7.5k upvotes at the time of writing. User WizardJeremy also points out in a reply that the colouring isn’t even consistent with the others in the set, making it even more annoying.
600 lattice will cost you around $6, if you pick up one pack of 500, and another of 100. Alternatively, you can get 1,000 for $9.99.
However, there are plenty of other 600-credit skins that fans aren’t fond of. Luna’s black and green one gets a vote from RealSymmetra. Mantis and Adam also get shout-outs for having aesthetically displeasing basic skins, so on the whole, it seems that many fans don’t think these cheaper outfits are worth it.
This isn’t the only new addition to the game that fans aren’t fond of. Players are also struggling to deal with Iron Man’s new buffs, and if you’ve been pitted against them since the update… you’ll quickly see why. His Unibeam does more damage now, meaning he’s tearing through enemies with ease. At least the triple support meta has taken a hit, I suppose.
