Marvel Rivals has banned Blitz, a program that allowed players to see their enemies’ statistics during matches. In a post on the official blog, the developers said that “Blitz injected itself into the game process,” giving players access to confidential information such as damage and healing statistics. With this, players who used the software could selectively ban Marvel Rivals‘ heroes, predict opponents’ ultimates, and other unfair advantages that were not further detailed. Devs considered it a cheat, and players are no longer able to use it during matches.

Marvel Rivals Banned Blitz, But Players Are Worried

While the devs have announced yet another initiative to curb toxicity in Marvel Rivals, some players have expressed concern about one particular detail. They fear that the game won’t be able to distinguish between a player having Blitz installed but not using it, since the program is also utilized in other games such as League of Legends, and receiving punishments anyway. Although it is unclear how NetEase plans to address this aspect of its latest decision, the devs have clarified that players who used Blitz before its removal will not suffer penalties. Despite this, they ask that players refrain from using Blitz in future Marvel Rivals matches, as well as third-party plugins, to avoid further headaches.

Although Marvel Rivals has had problems with fake bans, it is appropriate for players to avoid using and even having the program installed.
