The feature has become commonplace in recent years, so why is it absent here?
To add to all of this, The Thing and The Human Torch were added to the game only yesterday, and Marvel Rivals may also launch on the Switch 2 if all goes well. However, the gameplay will always be the most important factor, and Marvel Rivals has a lot of fun moments, like Magneto sending Ults back at Iron Man, Peni launching mines across the map, and most recently, two Captain Americas playing Pong.
They Can Do This All Day
When you’re not killing heroes and villains in Marvel RIvals, there’s plenty of scope to goof around. This is thanks to the fact that characters’ abilities and Ults react to each other in unique ways. For instance, Captain America can deflect ranged attacks thanks to his shield. Now, what if you had two Caps and kept deflecting the projectile between them? Marvel Rivals Pong!
That’s precisely what happened in this video uploaded to the Marvel Rials subreddit by PlayStation5Fan. One Captain America deflects a projectile by Magneto towards another, who deflects it back, resulting in a Pong-like situation. Some comments even said that this should be turned into an in-game sport, like the recent soccer event.
However, others wanted them to take things a bit further. ‘I wonder what would happen if the Caps got closer as it bounced between them,” said another comment.”Is there a limit to how many times it can bounce between them, and eventually it would just explode against the shield? Or would it create a Captain America particle accelerator?”
Marvel Rivals Pong featuring Captain America does sound like a great idea for the next big event. Add in Magneto as the referee, and we’ve got a game on our hands.
