Players will leave Dawnshore behind and enter the Emerald Stair region during the Animancy Method main mission in Avowed. While investigating the Dreamscourge, you’ll meet up with Giatta, who’ll tell you to talk to an Animancer named Elia Rosell. After approaching Elia, she’ll ask you a favor to take down one of her favorite revenants inside a barn. However, getting inside the barn can get a bit confusing, here’s how to do it.

A Relic From The Ashes is a side quest in Avowed requiring players to find the reliquary which a bandit from Deadfire has stolen.

How to Get Inside Elia’s Barn & Take Out Silvo in Avowed

Players can find Elia towards the south of Coastal Farms in a location aptly named “Elia’s Revenant Farm” in Avowed. You’ll spot Elia inspecting a corpse, so go ahead and talk to her about Giatta and the Dreamscourge. Before she can answer your question, you’ll first need to do her a favor.

Helping Elia Search the Revenant’s Corpse

Elia will ask you to dig into the corpse below and figure out the reason why this reanimated revenant didn’t serve its purpose. Now, you’ll need to interact with the corpse, and you’ll get the Blighted Crop

item. Giving the item to Elia will fulfill her request and also get some money as a reward. After that, you can try again to talk to her about Giatta and the Dreamscourge plague with her.

Taking Down Silvo in the Barn

This time, Elia will have a somewhat bigger favor to ask of you. One of her favorite reanimated revenants named Silvo needs to be put down as it’s gone bad. Silvo can be found in the barn right behind Elia, so you’ll need to head over there to put an end to that revenant.

The door to the barn is locked, and you’ll need to find an alternative path. Although there aren’t any open windows in the front, there’s a hidden passage towards the right side of the barn between the rocks. Head through the passage, and you’ll arrive at the side of the barn. There’s a boarded-up window to the right that you can break and enter inside the barn.

Silvo isn’t a difficult enemy to beat. You can parry most of the attacks or use freeze spells against its attacks to take Silvo out swiftly with a special attack. Once Silvo is down, return to Elia to let her know that the deed is done. Continue asking her about Giatta and the Dreamscourge, and it will mark Elia’s objective in the Animancy Method main quest as completed in Avowed.
